Selling a very unique 1948 Willys Station Wagon, a true custom in a classic Bonneville Racer look. An original 2 Wheel Drive Jeep this Willys is a cool combination of old school tricks and looks, mixed with mid 70's hot rodding and customizing. (Willys introduced the 4 Wheel Drive for the Wagon one year later, in 1949) This Jeeps body is very clean and completely rust free (!!!) an original Utah and California car all her life! Color is a nice polished bright red primer, with lots of white accents, the inner fenders and engine bay are all in white. Engine is a very clean '78 Buick V6 painted bright blue, mounted to a 3 speed auto T-300, the axle and diff are also out of a '79 Buick. Front axle is stock factory '48. This Jeep hooks up and runs fast. The interior is mostly original and un-restored. Lots of patina and cool items like original rear passenger area ash trays, sliding window locks. The rear seats are original with original aged leather upholstery, super cool. The floor board and cargo area wood rails are original as well. The front seat frame is re-issue with newer upholstery. Seat lap belt for driver is a 4 inch mid 70's racing spec. Passenger lap belt is a 2 inch re-issue with chrome buckle. Dash gages are custom with white background inlays. Rear tires are re-issue 31x10 Firestone Cheater-slicks, DOT street legal, and up front are original vintage skinny whitewall Firestones. Original Moon aluminum covers all around. Some pics show vintage Ford covers, those can be run instead of the Moons, and are included in the sale if you like them. This Jeep is a cool nostalgia custom. I had it at many car shows and this Jeeps always turns heads. This Jeep, like all my other Jeeps listed for sale on Ebay, has valid and current California Registration, and is insured through Hagerty collector car insurance.
