Vehicle Detail
Absolutely Beautiful 928 She was built in West Germany in September of 1978, the first year of the 928's. Then titled as a 1979 at which point it was shipped to Salt Lake City, Utah and there it has been for 31 years. For the last 10 years it has been in the personal collection of a wealthy father and son in the oil business. They brought the maintenance and service current and kept the Porsche in a climate controlled building rarely driving it. The service history is just for the last 10 years. The gentleman who originally purchased the car kept it for the first 20 years and I don't know much about it except it was garage kept and must have been babied- judging from its current condition. This Porsche is ORIGINAL and UNRESTORED. To find a 928 in this condition from the first production run is extremely rare! A perfect addition to a collection or weekend pleasure car. Due to it's age some of the electronics are a bit unpredictable the windows for example both go up and down... most of the time. The radio connection could use some attention because it turns off and on if the road it rough. The break lights, signals, head lights, tail lights, back up lights, and fog lights are all working fine. Along with the kill switch, horn, heat, fan, rear defrost, front and rear wipers. In the trunk you will find the COMPLETE tool kit, inflatable spare tire, compressor, spare engine belt, and spare oil pan gasket, The glove box contains the original owners manual. The paint is beautiful with no fading and very little road wear. The wheels are the original telephone dials and all four are in near perfect condition. The tires are period correct Pirelli Cinturato P7's and at about 90% tread. The transmission and clutch shift smooth with no gear box clunking. The BEST part of the car is that fabulous aluminium V8 under the hood. It fires right up, sounds beautiful and pulls like a train. The power starts low and builds to a howling crescendo without no dead spots or misfires.
