Very clean 1980 450 SL. An appraisal was performed by A..P.A.C. (www.apacone.com 1-888-APAC-ONE) in 2002. This vehicle appraised for $12,500 in June of 2002. Paint is nearly perfect. Complete body restoration by a Jaguar Dealership. Interior is nearly perfect. Carpet and all seats and interior parts are in excellent shape. This vehicle is perfect for someone to completely restore or, just drive it as is. Vehicle runs well starts quickly and has had good maintenance. This vehicle was my Father in law's. IMPORTANT: THE MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATE! Unfortunately, the speedometer works but the odometer does not seem to be registering. The vehicle was received with 100000 miles on it. It has always been stored or parked in a heated garage. I have had it since 2002. It has been stored in a heated facility since then. It was last registered in 2002. It has been driven once a year and still runs good. There are a few mechanical issues that would need attention to make it perfect. The Air Conditioning needs service. The exhaust system is new but custom made. It does not have a catalytic converter. It appears to have a leak since there was an oil spot under it when we pulled it out of storage. I don't know what happened with the odometer. It does not appear to be registering miles and, the tripometer is not functioning. The speedometer is functioning however. All gauges radio etc are functioning. Every thing works except the items just mentioned. The hard top is perfect. No rips or tears in the upholstery anywhere. The Convertible top is new genuine Mercedes Benz. This is a very nice car. It is all original except for the exhaust. I have the Owners booklets as well as a complete vehicle service manual on CD and printed out completely from the CD.
