Vehicle Detail
1968 Dodge Charger. Originally a higher end 318 small block car, this 68 Charger currently has a running 383 BB with 727 trans. Vin Decodes as Follows: Body Type: X = Dodge Charger Price Class: P = Premium Body Type: 29 = 2 Door Sports Hardtop Engine: F = 318 230HP 1-2BBL 8 CYL Year: 8 = 1968 Sequence Number: 261110 = 161110th Vehical Built This Charger has been a southwest car all it's life from what I know. Best I can tell it's never even had any panel replaced or any "major" body panel repair? It has had several tips of front fender and light door ding type repairs along with a few paint jobs and interior changes in it's over 40 yrs of life but thats about all I can see that isn't original body panels. However, with that said I personally would have lower quarter, drivers floor and trunk panels repaired. While not "crumbly" rusty, they are beginning to show their age. The roofline, sail panel and windsheild frames are in pretty clean shape and the undercarriage and frame have no damage and are also very solid. The car will easily start and lot drive but due to the car sitting for an extended duration the brakes, fuel system and ignition certainly need attention. However I believe the drivetrain to be resonably solid and with some general tune-up and maintainence this Charger could actually be someones decently running/driving project. Overall this Charger is mostly complete and is a nice canidate for either a killer restoration or as a begining to someones weekend MOPAR project. NOTE - Wheels and Tires will NOT BE included in this auction but I will provide good enough tires/wheel combo to safely load and or transport this car. After further inspection as you will note in the pics this Charger is very solid underneath! http://picasaweb.google.com/101008264152297998503/68Charger?feat=directlink
