Vehicle Detail
OK here we go. I am selling this really cool street rod for a friend of mine that recently passed away. This is the last of his 3 car collection that his wife has reluctantly decided to put up for sale. Ray owned this car for over 20 years and did a complete frame off restoration on it. I helped with part of it. It is all steel except for the rear fenders. The underside looks almost as good as the top side. It has won many awards and has been in at least one magazine. I will list what I know about it. Mustang II front end. 8" Ford rear with leaf springs. Frame is perfect. 350 Chevy V-8 with 350 Turbo trans. Both rebuilt. Runs like a new car with plenty of power. The interior is all cloth and perfect. It has Vintage air / heat and it works great. All guages work with exception to the tach and speedometer. Radio / CD player works. The paint is a base coat clear coat system that is perfect except for one small crack on the lower back side ( see pics ). The wheels are Center lines with new B F Goodrich tires. P205/55-16 on front and P255/60-17 on the rear. Under the hood is the typical look, block hugger headers, and misc. chrome polished aluminum stuff. Car runs out very well as is very tight. I would not be afraid of driving it anywhere any distance. Comes with a newer custom car cover. The brakes may need to be bled as the pedal is a bit "soft" from sitting, and when the brakes are first applied, there is a slight shimmy in the front end. May be just because the car has been sitting, or there may be a bad spot on a rotor or maybe rust? I drove it home on the highway with no problems. Make no mistake, THIS IS A SHOW CAR / CRUISER, that is turn key. Now for the business end. I will not end the auction early, there is no buy it now price, and I will not give out the reserve amount this first time around. Please do not ask. My number is 314-732-5925 ask for Dave for honest answers BEFORE you bid. If you have bad or minimal feedback, call first or I may cancel your bid. The car does not leave here until all funds are proven to be in our bank. This can take up to 7 business days. Deposit is due in 24 hours by Paypal. Refundable only if the car does not match the above description. Please look at or have someone else look at car BEFORE you bid. We have nothing to hide. I will not deliver the car. No trades excepted. If I think of something else, I will add it later. No dreamers tire kickers. I know approximately what it is worth. Good luck, Dave On Aug-04-10 at 16:19:40 PDT, seller added the following information: More info: Went by Ray's garage today and found more information on the car. The color is a 2001 Ford B-6 Mandarin Copper Pearl Metallic base coat clear coat. The wiring came from E-Z Wiring Company. I found a log book that lists what parts cars most every part came from. A copy of the original Florida title from when he purchased the car in what appears to be 1980. And a good hand full of various receipts for things he purchased for the car. Also found some extra parts such as 2 grills, a bumper, another rack and pinion steering system, and various other items. I will list more items I as uncover things. All extra parts I find go with the car. I have had a lot of very nice old cars in my time, but this one is truly better than any car I have owned. Definately Barret Jackson quality. I wish I could afford to buy it. Dave
