Vehicle Detail

This is a beautiful 10AE that has been well taken care of with regular maint and high quality upgrades. I am very sad to see it go as it is prepared for many years of fun and reliable service. Includes all of the 10AE standard equipment including Saphire Blue paint with Blue softtop - glass back window. Two tone black and blue interoir with Leather seats, Nardi steering wheel and shift knob. Includes 6 speed transmission is locking differential. Maintainence items include new clutch master and slave cylinders, spark plugs and plug wires. Replaced transmission and differential fluid with Mobil 1 and Redline MTL. All oil changes were performed with Mobil 1 oil and Fram or K&N oil filter. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 62K as well as all the drive belts. Items that are not perfect - 2-3" scratch behind psgnr door, lower air dam is scraped from parking curbs with a small crack in the fiberglass, one fog light has cracked glass from a rock but is still functional, one fog light is in good condition but is not functional. Paint on the front is good but shows the exposure to 10 years of of bugs and road debris. It isn't anything that would need to be re-sprayed, it just show the pasage of time more than the paint everywhere else. I use Mother's paste wax and it gives off a nice, warm shine and the water beads up nicely after a rainshower. Earlier this year I hit a curb square on (while avoiding a big dog) which scraped the oil pan and the subrame as well as setting off the airbags. So I had a new oil pan, subframe, subframe brace, steer rack, dual airbags (included control module) and windshield installed. All work was done by BEGi - one of the worlds foremost Miata experts. At the same time, I also had BEGi add the Racing Beat Lower control arm brace and install new Koni shocks with Tein S-Tech springs. BEGi hand-crafted suspension spacers to provide optimum ride height with a smooth ride while offering much more control over the stock suspenion (which was already quite good). The original polished 10AE rims are in excellent shape and they were not on the car when I hit the curb. The car now handles so well and effortlessly through the corners that it seems to be laughing at the other cars on the road. A friend of mine remarked the other day that the car feels amazingly tight if it were simply brand new - but he just couldn't believe you could get that much of a razor sharp feeling from something 10 years old. And yet it still glides like butter on the highway. The only downside to the suspension mods is limited clearance on speed bumps or sharp edged potholes at parking lot speeds. Upgrades include the following: EBC dimpled and slotted brake rotors and green-stuff pads on the front wheels. BEGi 57MM crossflow aluminum radiator. This is the largest Miata radiator in the world with the best flow characteristics. This is absolute overkill unless you plan to go racing or add a turbo. The 1999 head is known as a great motor to turbo - so that was the reason for the radiator. The radiator looks extremely cool but I never did put in a turbo. It also has a AEM Intake with a blue finish that comes very close to the Saphire Blue paint on the rest of the car. BEGi also crinkle coated the valve cover a fiery Red and installed a new gasket. The last upgrade item is a Cobolt exhaust with a 2.5" polished Tip. The car is a daily driver for me with excellent mileage. You don't hear much from the intake and exhaust until you put your foot down. Then you get a very nice growl - but it is never obnoxious or ricey. Definately more of a MG or Alfa type of purr. I have three keys and four remote fobs. This has an Cobra alarm that has also works as a keyless entry. I also have all of the original books and parts and service records for all of the work performed. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am very proud of this great little car and I hope that it goes to someone who will enjoy it as much as me. The hard top in the pics is not included. This car is up for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if the vehicle is no longer available for sale. On Jul-29-10 at 20:28:39 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Note*** Mileage should be 77,500. On Jul-31-10 at 06:27:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Note #2: I am willing to remove the intake, exhaust or radiator and put back the stock parts. I don't think that is likely - but just wanted to offer it in case anyone felt strongly about it. Addtionally, the A/C blows icy cold. The interiror gets much colder and pdoes so much more quickly than the A/C on my big V-8 family car. Lastly, the blue softtop is in great shape - I will try to add a picture with the softtop up before the bidding ends.
