Vehicle Detail

This is my 89 Westy. I bought it and used it strictly for local camping in the Summers here in Jackson Hole. It is garage kept and not driven in the Winter. The engine is original and still pulls hard when asked to. It does have an oil leak which requires about 1 quart every 6 months. All other componenets seem to be fine. I am not a "car guy" so I cant talk the talk very well. Since I purchased it I have upgraded the wheels and tires along with the front brake rotors and pads that I bought from Go Westy 2 summers ago. I also replaced the propane tank. The exterior of the van is in great shape with very minimal rust. I can find about 6 spots of rust that are smaller than a pea all mostly near or on seams. I took it to a local body shop for preventative maintenance and he said that they were all so insignificant he wouldnt recommend the work. The interior is also in great shape. The rear seat belts, radio, floor mats are all new last summer. The stove and sink work perfectly and the fridge will fire up with some patience and then is adequate but not great. Truth is these fridges always have been less than ideal. We use it like a cooler with re-freezable ice packs or just as storage. The aux. battery runs a 400 or 1000 amp power converter to provide 110V while camping. All of the upholstry is in great shape along with all of the cabinetry. The curtains are all original, in great shape and complete. The pop top works flawlessly and the bedding is in perfect condition. The tent itself has one tear that I tried to fix with a canvas repair kit. It is holding but looks a bit unsightly. The entire tent can be replaced and the materials needed can be found at gowesty.com. Some extras are: a mounted dust buster, ladder to access top bunk, soap dish, 4 LED lights, 4 mounted cup holders in cockpit, bra, JBL and Polk speakers, Chiltons manual, bug nets for the rear and sliding door and a "rug" for the dash. I absolutely love this vehicle and it is killing me to sell it. I could use the cash though and this is one of my toys that I should part with. Good luck and e-mail me with any questions.
