1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III, Restored show winner! ( for more pictures scroll down ) You are viewing a early production Austin Healey 3000 Mark III which has been restored by Healey Marque specialist, British Motor Corporation of Philadelphia, PA. www.Britishmotorcorp.com . This car has undergone a high quality nut and bolt ground up restoration which was completed earlier this summer. Since the completion of the restoration the car has been used as the spokes car for British Motor Corporation at numerous events. This is a no excuses Austin Healey 3000, which has been road tested well sorted out. 54k Miles with only 300 miles on it since restoration. The restoration included the following items: BODY and CHASSIS: Complete disassembly of the entire car. Sandblasting ( Silica ) of the frame and all steel panels followed immediately by a self etching priming of all surfaces. Restoration of all structural aspects of the chassis. Restoration of the steel and aluminum body panels to perfect fit and alignment. Refinishing of the chassis in Urethane Base Coat clear coat. Refinishing of the underside of all exterior panels in Urethane base coat clear coat. Refinishing and refit of all exterior body panels. Wet sanding and polishing of the exterior body panels. SUSPENSION: Sandblasting and refinishing of suspension in activated urethane coatings. Rebuilding of entire front suspension including, kingpins, tie rod ends, bearings, seals, bushings and springs. Rebuilding of rear suspension, including new bearings, seals, and springs. WIRING- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: New wiring harness and fittings. CHROME: Re-dipped ( triple plate ) and new chrome thru out. GLASS: New windshield glass Re-used original side glass ( new glass does not fit well ) PAINT: Body was primed with Urethane primer and block sanded prior to painting. Entire car is finished in Urethane paint, applying 4 base coats and 4 clear coats. Exterior Body was prepared by block sanding before and after color coats. Exterior Body was wet block sanded after clear coating. Exterior Body was hand polished to a deep shine. WHEELS: New (4) 72 spoke Dayton wheels and Vedrestein tires ( Wheels are oversized in width to improve handling ). TRUNK: New Armorcord trim kit. New spare tire hold down strap.
