Vehicle Detail
Relisted with lower reserve. Please send email and we will send you our phone number for questions. Thanks! Folks, check this out. This is an original 1940 Ford coupe - standard model, 2 door. This is just the body and chassis. There is no engine and the interior will need to be totally redone. The tires are very old and will have to be replaced. The running boards are not original and are made out of wood. We have window glass in a box (passenger side and half of the rear) - not sure it is all there but I think it is. Please pay attention to the pictures and send me any questions you have. These are not getting any easier to find. This vehicle does not have a title and we have the last registration which is New York State and expired - from 1980. My husband bought this car as a project car but hasn't worked on it, so it has to go. We do have the stainless trim and the hood trim piece, but no bumpers. There are pieces that form the foundation of the interior panels but you'll probably want to replace those - they could be used as templates. PLEASE NOTE: I check my email once a day, usually between 7-9 PM. Please be patient and I will get back to you if you ask a question, unless it's the last day of the auction and then I may miss you. This must be picked up and the buyer is responsible for all costs and arrangements associated with transporting the vehicle. We are located on Grand Island, New York. We are an 8 hour drive from NYC, 3 hours from Cleveland, 4 hours from Pittsburgh or Detroit, 8 hours from Chicago, 9 hours from Baltimore/DC, 12 hours from Raleigh, 15 hours from Atlanta. If you're on the other side of the Mississippi, you've got a haul. Payment is expected in full within 7 days of auction end. You can not pick up the vehicle until your payment clears. I would prefer payment with bank cashier's check or money order. If you want to talk to us on the phone, email me and I will send you my number. Have fun looking. There is a reasonable reserve on the car.
