Vehicle Detail

2003 Suzuki SV100S Absolutely immaculate 2003 copper Suzuki SV1000s with only 3,200 miles most of which were placed by my wife. The SV1000 has one of the smoothest most powerful V-twin engines ever mounted on a sport motorcycle! I’ve ridden Ducati motorcycles (including the 2009 Monster 1100) and this Suzuki has a much smoother engine and is FAR more comfortable. But don’t let the smooth comfortable descriptions take away from the tremendous power and sport bike handling (including fully adjustable suspension). This is the perfect motorcycle for an enthusiast who expects tremendous torque, low end power with a very high rev range, a flowing, smooth shifting transmission with hydraulic assist clutch, tremendous ride stability (standard steering stabilizer), great sport bike handling with fully adjustable suspension tunable to any riding style and a unique “naked bike” look. A gorgeous deep copper color (pictures to not do this bike justice) with lower sport fairings (pictured in one photo) with an aggressive “SV” look that still turns heads during every ride! 99% stock (no performance modifications), with the following cosmetic modifications: Ultra-bright LED flush-mount front turn signals, LED rear turn signals Frame Protectors (not mounted) Lower fairings (minor scratches on the left side fairing) Rear fender eliminator (with ultra-bright LED blinkers) New battery Passenger seat (or cowl) both come with the purchase I am the second owner (53 years old) – This is my wife’s bike (she just purchased a cruiser) and was owned by a collector before our purchase with only 900 miles. She has not ridden the bike this year so it’s time to sell! The lucky winner will end up with what may be the nicest 2003 Suzuki SV100S in the county! You will not find this model year in this condition on Ebay! This bike has never been raced, abused, over-revved, no wheelies, no burnouts, no accidents, just cruising! The bike has one edge area of touch-up paint that was applied before we purchase the bike (see circle in picture) Buy-it-now customer will receive a free front and rear bike stand (not pictured)!!!Transaction Terms: 1. Important Note: Safety is always my first concern as a rider and I advise anyone contemplating purchasing this or any other motorcycle as a first bike to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course offered at universities and Harley Davidson dealers across the county! Read “Motorcycling Excellence” – a great book on safety and training. Wear a DOT and SNELL 2005 certified helmet. Wear a motorcycle padded jacket (leather or mesh), long pants, and boots when you ride! Gloves are optional but advised – even on those 90 degree sunny days! Here’s what reviewers are saying about the 2003 Suzuki SV100S: Sport Rider June, 2003, issue LOOKS RIGHT, SOUNDS RIGHT, FEELS RIGHT We were impressed with Suzuki's latest entry into the rapidly growing standard/naked bike category. It's easy for some who remember the TL1000S to look at the SV and simply write it off as a rehashed TL, but one ride should convince them that Suzuki is definitely onto something good with the SV series. It should be interesting to see how the new SV1000S stacks up to established naked/standard bikes like Yamaha's FZ1. Offering accessible performance like this for such a low price is an excellent alternative for those riders who want to carve the canyons without the commitment of a supersport bike, and use the same machine to ride to work on Monday. It can only bring more people into sportbikes, and that's good for the sport. And that's all right by our book. Here’s what owners are saying about the 2003 Suzuki SV100S (Powersportsnetwork.com) -- Big Smile -- I love this bike! This thing's got instant power! You need to be careful, or you'll be flying without realizing it. The V-Twin is so smooth accelerating; it doesn't have that boost like a lot of I-4s have.....this thing just takes off and keeps going with raw power. It’s very comfortable for a sport bike too. I highly recommend one, if you want a sweet looking ride with power to back it up. -- *****LOVE!***** -- I have ridden many bikes (ZX7R - CBR929R - 750 Katana - V-Star1100) but this is my true love! The enormous power-band - it pulls hard from 2500-11000 rpm with no effort and the torque is endless. This bike handles like a 600 because of its light weight! And the sound is like no other sport bike - that throaty rumble without any vibration! PURE LOVE! -- A Superb Machine -- Having been out of motorcycling for a few years, then my eyes settled on a SV1000SZ. The cheapest insurance I could get for a GSXR 750 was 381. I paid 199 for the SV1000SZ. Picked it up on a rainy day with dire warnings that the tires were new etc., take care. No problems at all riding it home except it got rather muddy on the underside. Hugger is on the wanted list. Running it in I got 82MPH at 5000 RPM; the red line is 11000. This bike really does hold the road. I mean it. No wobbles, weaves, etc. Wind doesn't affect it. It's like being on rails - totally stable. I can't remember the last bike I had where I felt totally safe removing both hands from the bars at speed. It corners like a dream. Show it where you want to go and it goes...rapidly if you want. -- BEST V-TWIN SPORT BIKE... BEST ALL AROUND -- I ride my black 05 SV1000S more than I drive my car. I ride to work, school, and down the twisty country roads. As far as the engine goes, there is lots of torque, quick response, and power at high RPMs. I'm over 6ft, so if you're tall take it from me; comfort is not a problem. After 2500 miles tacked on and added aftermarket parts I've had no problems out of it. In the corners, I am the king. No questions. With the exception of not having race grade components, it is equal in quality to any other sport bike. I think Suzuki is as proud of this bike as I am, because they are responsive to consumer demands. -- Perfection -- I have been riding for several years -- everything from the old Suzuki GS550 to Katana 1100/600 and even the GSXR750. The SV1000s is the best bike ever! For those of us who like the sport bike style, like the V-twin and still have a smidgen of restraint, this is the perfect bike. Long trips are not the best. For someone my height the SV1000s is just right. It is also very forgiving for the novice riders. The SV is a torque monster but with a level head there are no worries. -- Ebony torque monster -- This motorcycle is so fun to ride! It has so much power and torque available you'll never run out of combinations. While the others are shifting to find correct adjustment in the twisties, you'll be spankin' her with your right hand. Also, it is a low gear-high rpm torque monster. Is this a sport-tourer or hooligan wheelie machine? Yeah, you get both. It is an agile, responsive, cafe-ergonomic rocket ship. Get one before they're gone! -- Big V-Twin -- Wearing out my old Honda CB750 3 years ago and looking around for a new bike (2 years of maybe this one or that one) I picked up the SV1000S last fall. I rode it all throughout the winter. I have to say I love the long power-band, I can be in 4th gear at 6000 rpm doing 80 mph and open it up to 120 mph at 11000 rpm in two seconds flat. Love the sound, I run the stock cans but I did drill holes to open them up. Had it up to 140 mph with no problems 6th gear did seem low on power. Overall, I love it and looking forward to spending the summer on it.
