Here for your interest is my 1965 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 MKIII, also known as the big Healey.

I had this car for the past few years, from 2006. I bought it as a project but never had the chance to start it, so here is your chance to buy a great car at a great price.

I bought the car in a project status, most parts were in a box and the body was part in primer and part with its original paint. Metal work was and has been done to the lower parts of the quarter panels, to the bottom part of the fenders. The floors of the car were replaced with sheet metal that was cut to fit, the some way was done to the bottom part of the trunk area. A bad job was done to the rear seats section, it is made only by sheet metal, so this last one will need to be cut out and replaced with the original panel that is available at Moss Motors. New rockers inside panel were installed, but the outer side was made from metal, so it would be better to install a new set made for the Austin. The frame is strong and rust free, actually just a little on the edges were it meets with the rocker panels. The interior set is pretty much new, so i had it installed from my mechanic to see how it looks since i decided to sell the car, and it actually looks pretty good even tough i was unable to install the rear seats and the rear panel due the metal work that was done on the body. The roof frame is there but will need to be refurbished and a new top is needed. All the lights are there but not connected and probably the wire harness will need replacement or for sure attention to be salvaged. The windshield is good and the frame is solid. The engine runs, to start it I use a jumper directly on the engine and poor gasoline directly into the carburetors from the black hose you can see in the pictures, it feels really strong and with a great compression. PLEASE take your time to inspect all the pictures, this Healey is in need of a full restoration, there is no excess of filler band the white paint is there to prevent oxidation. I installed all the parts just to show what is there and what is not, so if you don’t see something in the pictures probably is not there, but i will be happy to answer all your questions. The Healey carries a regular Virginia title has pictured. I will be happy to help ship the car anywhere and it can stored here for sometime if needed. The car has been garaged since i got it and it is now in my warehouse, I would really love to restore it and i hope someone will, it is a lot of work. I have about 20 projects car that have been sitting for the last years and so now is time to let go a few. i just sold my Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider, and I’m working on a 1955 Jaguar XK140 FHC, a 65 Triumph TR4 IRS, a 1960 Morgan, Fiat 600, 2 Fiat 500 and i just bought another one, a few Bianchinas....my plate is full!!!.

Once again, this Healey is a big project and it will need metal work, mechanical work, a paint job and more.
