Good Condition rare 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250s Sedan Up for auction is a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250 Sedan. It is in relatively good cosmetic condition with the only notable flaws being that the dashboard wood would look better if refinished and the radio does not work. The automatic transmission works perfectly. The seats are covered in something that is either leather or vinyl, and is very very good condition. The body is in great shape, and the tires are in very good shape. The red paint (not original) is great looking and all of the manual windows operate perfectly. The car starts with the first turn of the key, as expected. I am storing it at a vintage Mercedes specialist shop, approx 15 miles from Providence, RI. Serious bidders are encouraged to come see her. When we purchased this car, it was shipped to this location where it had a very hefty inspection, followed by an extensive full tune up. The carburetors have been rebuilt. All fluids flushed. A full tune-up including, spark plugs, filters, distributor cap, etc. In addition, ball-joints were replaced, brakes, and other minor repairs were made to be sure that she would be safe as an everyday driving car. When I asked our mechanic how much it would cost to bring her up to par, he stated "You can dig as deep as you would like, but she must be safe, and run perfectly beforehand." That she does...run perfectly, and is safe. All serious bidders are welcome to come and inspect the car, at the shop. I will accept offers to end the auction early and i reserve the right to as the car is advertised locally. Also, the "Turbo" designation on the rear of the car was put on by the production crew of the movie it was used in (Ryan Gossling and Kirstun Dunst drove this car for their part in a film called "All Good Things" which comes out this fall) and the car is in fact not a turbo. We purchased the car from the production company, under the impression that she had 37650 miles on it...our mechanic states that it is likely more.
