1985 Mercury topaz diesel four cylinder with manual transmission. First the good. DIESEL that starts and runs good. I never had this car registered and driven on the road but have been told by previous owner that 40 plus mpg was normal. Car has 118k miles and would assume for a diesel that it still has many miles left in it. The bad.. The car has rust on rear quarters, rear doors, surface rust on hood and damage to hood. Passenger side outside mirror glass is broken. Interior has headliner removed, seats in fair condition, power windows inop with exception of drivers front that has a mount off (goes down crooked). Car has factory a/c but it is inop. R12 system. Tires are about 7/32 tread with normal signs of wear. I do not know condition of brakes since I have never had apart or vehicle inspected. Car has never been on a lift or looked at underneath. Car has PA inspection of 07-08. I had intentions of converting this to bio-diesel but never got around to doing it. Car has sat for two years. Local salvage price is 250.00 hence the starting bid, Car is not for sale locally so high bidder takes it or the salvage yard. I have described car to the best of my knowledge.
