Vehicle Detail
Before you even start bidding you may want to look at my feedback. It is perfect and I aim to keep it that way by playing very fair. I am absolutely NOT a car dealer--just a private seller of a beautiful convertible 6 series. This auction is sold entirely WITHOUT RESERVE. Whoever wins the bidding wins this car at whatever price it brings--unless someone recognizes what a good deal the "buy it now" price is and hits the button. I did some checking on values and Edmunds puts it at $35,481 for a private party and $38,552 for a dealer. My "buy it now" is below both of these. I have checked sold prices and listings on Autotrader and Ebay. I am lower than every single listing on Autotrader and every like-appointed car on Ebay. I am going to take a bath on this car and I know it. The final bidder will come away with an incredible deal at my expense. Bummer for me. Great for you. This 2005 645ci is a one owner, very clean car. New it was $82,000. It is pretty loaded up and has the winter package and the sport package with all the other goodies that BMW puts on the 6-series (GPS, heated seats, power everthing, satellite radio, bluetooth, park distance control, adaptive light control, 19 inch rims, and on and on). But what really makes this BMW special is the SMG transmission. It is the same transmission that they put on the M6 and it is incredible. If you want a sedate, family ride--leave it in the auto mode and cruise softly. If you want a true race car just put the car in sport mode and start working the paddle shifters. The sound and feel will blow your socks off. I truly love the SMG and would like it in every car I own. It is VERY hard to find in anything but the M6. The exterior has just a couple of rock chips that I can see. I have a small .5 oz bottle of matched touch-up paint that will go with the car. I would describe the exterior as a 9 out of 10. The interior is in near perfect shape and I would describe it as a high 9 out of 10. The interior silver areas have a few small scrapes. The plastic in front of the GPS has two small scratches. There is very little wear on the driver's seat. There are no tears I can see anywhere. The wheels are being polished and all scuffs are being removed as I type this. They were the only part of the car's appearance that I thought could be improved, so I did. The tires are near new (about 2000 miles) on front and back and are run-flats. Yesterday I was sitting in the back seat and noticed a tear in the headliner to the left of the driver's side back seat headrest. I had never noticed it until then but you should figure that into your bid price. It would probably cost $50 to repair, maybe $100, I don't know. The car has absolutely NEVER been smoked in and it still has the new leather smell. I have both keys and the valet key and all manuals (including the large hard bound 645ci book with case that came with the car). The GPS DVD was updated in 2009 (the original 2005 DVD will also be included). The car has an extended warranty that covers just about everything for about 18 more months. It is fully transferable for $50 (maybe $40--I can't remember for sure). Buyer will have the option to pay for that and transfer the warranty. Miles are just under 38K right now but will change just a bit as I am driving the car daily. That is why I put 38K in the listing title. I have purchased an almost new 650i or I would not be selling this beautiful machine for any reason. It drives and feels like the refined beast that it is and whoever buys it will love it. An attorney friend of mine encouraged me to add this to my listing. I am following his advice: This vehicle is being sold as-is. I have done my best to accurately represent and disclose the equipment/condition of this vehicle. However, I disclaim any warranty as to the accuracy of the information listed within this ad. The terms of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Missouri where the seller is located, without regard to any conflict of laws and/or provisions thereof that might indicate the applicability of laws of any other jurisdiction. The venue for all legal proceedings shall be in Camden county, Missouri, where the seller is located. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. The vehicle is also for sale locally and may be sold at any time with all bids being canceled and this auction being ended. If you have any questions at all about the car, please email me through Ebay and I will get back to you as quickly as I can. I will be on the road during part of the sale but will get back to you even while traveling. If you have less than 5 feedback or less than 95% positive you must contact me before bidding or your bid will be removed. Payment of $2000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of close of sale. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping. My very best of luck to you in bidding. Someone is about to get a steal. On Jul-19-10 at 08:54:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Rims are now perfect. I spent a bit of money to have them refinished and they look marvelous. Because this is a straight no reserve listing my "buy it now" price disappeared once the auction started. Looks like the car will simply go to the highest bidder. Good luck all.
