PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING PRIOR TO BIDDINGYou’re bidding on a 1997 Saturn SL 4door 5 Speed with 98,680 actual miles on it. The car was recently purchased at a Purple Heart Charity auction to benefit Purple Heart holders from the military and is being offered with NO RESERVE! Highest bid wins the car! This is a GREAT running and driving little car and make GREAT inexpensive transportation. Overall Condition I would consider the vehicle to be in "Slightly Below Average" condition based on the age, mileage, and visible wear on the vehicle, please read below for specific details. The Exterior The exterior of the Saturn looks decent but could use a good cleaning. The paint is in good shape but has some minor clear coat peeling on the sides of the roof, nothing serious but worth mentioning. There are no major dents or body damage and for the most part the exterior is pretty plain jane. Overall the exterior is very presentable and looks decent, keep in mind its a cheap car and not a Mercedes and you'll be fine... The Interior The interior of the Saturn is the worst part of the car and shows the most amount of wear. The seats are in decent shape with no rips, tears, or burns, however the carpet is fairly dirty and stained especially in the passenger front floor board. If it was me I would remove the carpet and use some degreaser and a pressure washer to remove the dirt and let it dry out for a day and reinstall it and the carpet would be fine. The headliner is also sagging, again this is a easy fix someone could do at home with a couple hours of time. I would remove the headliner and buy the headliner material at a fabric store for under $20, get a couple cans of spray glue and within 2 hours you have a new headliner... Overall the interior needs a good cleaning at minimum..but again it is decent for the money. The Mechanics The Saturn fires right up and runs out great, mechanically the car is in 100% perfect mechanical condition and needs nothing mechanical. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts out PERFECTLY without any slippage in the clutch between shifts as you work you way up to highway speeds. The car has brand new tires and the car drives out GREAT! The A/C blows ICE cold and the drivers front door glass is stuck in the up position. The only needs it has mechanically is the speed sensor JUST went bad so the speedometer and mileage just barely started not working. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this car cross country under any circumstances, this car is 100% rock solid, it is just in need of some serious cleaning. Overall this is an excellent buy for someone looking for CHEAP transportation. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as the car is also listed locally for sale. Serious buyers are encouraged to call me as I do not think the auction will go the distance due to what little money Im willing to sell this car for!...THIS IS CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Lastly, the cars offered on eBay are being offered at "wholesale" pricing which means our operation is not like your run of the mill car lot. In order to keep our pricing at the wholesale level we do not offer services like normal "retail" dealers. We do not offer airport pickup and the cars are delivered with a 1/4 tank of fuel, so please factor that into your bidding.Please add an additional $150 to your winning bid for documentation fee's. The doc fee helps offset the cost of clerical fee's like Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS when we send out the paperwork to you. Terms of Sale There is a 20% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due within 48 hours of the close of the auction, and the remaining balance is due within 5 days of the close of the auction. Our auctions are 7 day auctions and run Monday to Monday so deposits are due in our office by the Wednesday following the end of the auction and remaining balance is due by the end of the week on Friday, unless other arrangements are made PRIOR to bidding. There is no exception to the deposit unless you plan on picking up the vehicle and paying in full within 48 hours of the close of the auction. We accept Cash in Hand, Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, and Bank to Bank Wire Transfers although our preferred method of payment is Bank to Bank Wire Transfer. No Paypal, personal or business checks will be accepted under any circumstance. At the end of every auction we will send you a confirmation email and prefer that you contact us by phone the day the auction ends to make arrangements for payment and pickup of your vehicle.
