Vehicle Detail

TRULY A BEAUTIFUL CAR This is a wonderful example of this three year production car. It is the most popular color combination made during those years, white exterior, black leather interior with the very high grade black vinyl top. The interior of this car is still stunning with very little signs of wear. The rear compartment appears to have been rarely used and the front passenger seat, dash and instruments are in almost perfect condition. The Cartier clock still runs sporadically! The only signs of wear on the interior is the driver's seat where the leather cording has worn off. The carpeting and driver's area shows very few other signs of wear. I do not know the actual mileage of this car. It shows 00894.4 on the odometer at this time but I cannot imagine this car having more than 100,000+ miles or even close to that. The driver seating surfaces, the carpet and the pedals just do not show that much wear. The headliner is in perfect condition. I purchased this car about 5 years ago and the person I purchased it from may have been the original owner. The mailed California license tag for 1976 is still in the glove box so she at least owned it in 1975. The transmission was rebuilt in Aug. 1984 and the mileage at that time was 00790. So, in 26 years, this car has had 100 miles put on the odometer. This is NOT a parts car! Everything needed to restore this car is on this vehicle. Nothing is missing. It runs, drives and is in pretty good shape for its years. I have tried to take pictures of the areas where there is some rust. Those areas are; both rear wheel wells behind the tires, along the rear ledge of the trunk where the chrome strip is attached, one spot at the bottom of the passenger door and a couple of spots around the flow through ventilation grill at the rear deck. Most of this I think was due to leaking drain tubes that allowed water into the trunk. These tubes have been replaced with new ones and there are no further leaks. The car has new rear brakes, a new master cylinder, new brake power booster and a new fuel pump. It starts and runs fine although I have yet to put any real miles on it, just down to the gasoline station and back. It could use a new exhaust system. All of the gauges register correctly and the four red lights built into the headliner all work correctly. The rear seat latching system works. The ABS brake light works. This vehicle has the auto dimming eye, AM/FM Stereo Radio and an electric antenna. The AC is all complete but is not charged and does not work at this time. Although the transmission has only 100 miles on it, the actual lever positions are not correct on the column. Once in drive it shifts just fine. Like all these older cars, the vacuum system does not hold the front headlight covers in the closed position. As soon as the engine is started however, the covers go into the closed position. The wheel covers as pictured are the ones that appear to be wire wheels. The radial tires are in pretty good shape with good tread. If you have any additional questions, please email me through eBay. Good luck with your bidding!
