Vehicle Detail

1967 Chevy Nova II Sought after and very desirable car!!! This car was originally going to be used as a hobby strip car...and then I got a hold of it! Motor was built by my brother for the previous owner. It is a small black 350 bored 30 over and has a small roller cam. The transmission is an Automatic Powerglide. Rear end currently has 3.73 gears. Disc brakes were installed. The car is hugger orange with a powder blue pearl coat and is about two years old. The blue looks real nice as the sun hits certain parts of the car and as you move around it. I tried to capture the blue in a couple of the pics. The car has 17x7 Billet Specialties wheels. The wheels and tires have less than 100 miles on them. Interior: You will be amazed at the interior. Do not be fooled by some of the pics...the interior is definitely orange and black. The orange is a very close match to the car. I had the entire car done from dash boards, rear deck, carpet, paint and repaired metal dash, headliner, door panels and seats. The front seats are RECARO race seats re-covered and then had "1967 Nova" stitched in white on the head rest area. The rear seat is the original seat that was repadded and covered. The window cranks, dome light, rear view mirror, door handles and gas/brake pedals are all Billet Specialties brand. If you look closely at the door design, you will see that the orange has the same curve pattern as the Billet Specialties door handles and window cranks. The dash and rear deck were padded and recovered in teh black used throughout the car. I had my interior gut make me a custom center console with two small cup holders and a new CD player with iPod hook up. Look close at the lower front feet areas....custom kick panels were made to house the upgraded speaker system. The same brand speakers were used for the back and covered with orange speaker grills. The factory stereo, factory a/c controls (does not have a/c) and factory dash are in place. I was going to add digital gauges later, but have yet to do so. The steering wheel is a grant wheel. The trunk was also upholstered with covered panels. All of the panels can be removed if you want them out of there. They are covered in the same material used in the interior of the car. The design is stitched and is the logo of my upholsterer. The car has new bumpers and misc chrome pieces like the window trims. The front glass is new as is the weather stripping around teh trunk and glass. The rear chrome piece says "SS". This is not an SS, but was going to be a clone at one time. I got rid of most of the parts (still have SS front seats), but did not change the rear chrome. I have seen them for sale on here for as much as $1,000, so I was going to remove it, sell it, and buy an aftermarket reguler piece so I do not get asked if it is an SS. This car is not a complete restoration and still needs a couple of things. It sounds amazing going down the road and at stop lights, but I was going to make it a daily driver. I planned on changing the gears for something more user friendly. I drove it to the city a few times and going down the highway at 65 causes the revs to be higher than I would like for a daily driver. Other little things like a new ignition bezel ring, new light wiring (they work, but I wanted to change the wiring as sometimes the signals had a delay in turning on), and the speedo cluster...it is original, so it is hazed out. I put this car in a couple of car shows last summer and won trophies both times. This car was built over a two year period while I was deployed to Iraq and living out of the country. I currently still work out of the country and have done so for a couple of years, so this car gets very little use. I have decided to work here a couple of more years and am thus selling about half of my toy collection. I do not need to sell and am in no way in any financial requirement to do so. I am also or soon will be posting a 2010 Custom Miami Chopper, 2005 Corvette Z51 that is heavily customized, 2006 Yamaha R6 50th Anniversary Edition in mint condition and a 2006 Yamaha YFZ450 quad/atv. I have a reserve and if it does not sell, I will keep the car and give it to a nephew of mine. The car has always been and is currently stored near Lubbock, TX in my metal shop with a car cover and sits next to all my other toys. It is started every couple of weeks. Remember, this has not gone through a frame off restoration and is a 43 year old car, so do not expect show room quality. There is a small oil leak, but it is only for a bit after driving it. My plan was to add a new gasket to the oil pan and tighten it in a varied pattern for it to be even. Between my brother's and myself, the car has been around for about 8 years and we know the previous owner who had it for 4 years. Delivery/shipping will be responsibility of the buyer, but I do have an enclosed car hauler and can get it delivered within a few hundred miles of 79311 for a gas fee. I also have an open car hauler that will use a little less gas to save you on shipping. Car can be seen by appoinment if you are in the area. Exact location is in Abernathy, TX. The car is registered in TX and had an inspection sticker last year...I did not get a new one for this year (April), but will do so if I still have it in Sept. Title odometer reads "Exempt" I will try to answer any questions you may have. On Jul-10-10 at 11:15:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry about the mispellings. I am overseas working on a slow internet connection and try to type too fast. Engine is a small block....front Recaro race seats were new when recovered. ...had my interior GUY (not gut) make me a custom center console.... The rear chrome I saw for about $1,000 was the original SS as is on my car. Replacement pieces that are non-SS can be bought on here for less than $150. So, you could sell the SS and buy a regular piece and make some money back. I am not interested in any trades. I am selling to thin out my collection so trading makes no sense as that keeps me with something I need to store. I will try to get engine bay and undercarriage pics up as soon as I get someone at home to take them. Care is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction prior to scheduled end time due to local sale. On Jul-10-10 at 15:18:00 PDT, seller added the following information: More...I am getting a good amount of questions on this car, so I will post most for all to see. The car has power brakes, no power steering. Disc brakes are only in front. In some of the pics, the front hood lip chrome and the rear window surround chrome are not there. Those are early pics taken while awaiting new parts. The car in its' current state does have both pieces. The metal parts of the dash and the doors were repainted during the interior install. There is a scratch about an inch long on the inside of the driver's door on the lower edge. This was done by an unexperienced person trying to install the new door weather stripping. I will not...repeat, will not accept any low offers to end this auction early. I have a reserve price set and will not let it go below that. Frankly, I feel it is being sold too low as is and know I will kick myself later. The car is for sale locally and in that venue, I will sell early, but only for more than what is listed here. Pics of engine bay and undercarriage at this point are a little hard to come by. As you can see in one pic, when I return overseas after vacations, I wash, wax and cover all my bikes and cars. They are then just started and moved a little while I am gone. I am trying to get my brother to take pics, but I have to work around his schedule and may not be able to get them bby auctions end. If that happens and it does not sell, I will relist after I get pics. The car can be viewed at my shop via appointment (brother's schedule comes into play). However, other than that, it is being SOLD AS IS.
