Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 66 Ventura. This is a factory 4 speed, bucket seat car, black inside and out. I have owned it about 3 years, and rebuilt or replaced about everything. When I bought it the original engine was gone (WC 389-2v), so I rebuilt a 69 400 block, bored .060 and fitted with forged pistons, also had a set of rebuilt 670 heads with stainless valves installed along with a correct 66 tripower set up. I also rebuilt the long tail muncie with new syncro's and all bearings, the shifter is the correct #3139 Hurst. Also has long branch exhaust manifolds from Ram Air inc., these manifolds are better than originals, with a 2 1/2" dual exhaust. The car currently has a completely rebuilt rear diff. assembly with NOS 4.11 gears (planning on taking it to the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk if it does not sell), at the starting bid price the car will come with a 3.42 dif, if bidding goes over 11K it will come with both rear ends. On the interior the carpet, seat covers, headliner and rear package tray were replaced. Also added were the following OEM options: working AM/FM, woodgrain steering wheel, aux. gauges (oil, temp). Also has the original console. This car spent most of its time in Mo, so it was not a Mich. rust box, but it did have some rust issues, mainly the trunk floor, which was replaced with sheet metal, welded and sealed. The pass. front fender was replaced with a MINT used one from Steve Snyder.. even had the correct trim holes for the VENTURA lettering, Thanks Steve! I used several parts cars to get the best parts I could, without spending a fortune, so this car is pretty nice, but not a show car. It was painted about 1 1/2 years ago, not a high dollar job, but decent. Bumpers were rechromed, very nice. I don't want to seem negative, but I do not want someone to buy the car thinking it is a 50K show car, it's a good driver, at least thats what I wanted, they are more fun than trailer queens in my opinion. There were 2 partial build sheets I found in it, both were in very poor cond, but I could make out that it was a factory 4 speed car with HD clutch, fender skirts- which I have but did not install, I liked the look better with the rear wheel opening moldings instead. The tires are repro BF goodrich 8.00-14 on stock rims. Please email any questions, sold as is. International buyers welcome. Thank you!
