For sale - 1987 PontiacTrans-am with new paint and tires, The car starts up immediately and runs smooth and very strong. The transmission shifts as it should and I can drive it in my neighborhood with no issues. There is no signs of rust or fluid leaks and the car appears very solid. I do not know the mileage but was told that it should be under 80k. If anybody knows how to check mileage without the indicator on the electronic dash let me know and I will check it out. Since I cannot verify the mileage I am stating it as unknown. Also, the VIN number seems to indicate that it came with a smaller V-8 engine, according to the f-body VIN decoder I found, therefore I do not know the mileage of the larger engine that was installed. the seats look to have been professionally recovered and look really nice. The bad - All The interior pieces were removed and painted in an amateur fashion from gold to red. This also includes painting the seat belts and the back of the front seats from gold to black. I placed the interior pieces back on with only a few screws for pictures but they are not secure like they should be. The plastic pieces are all there and seem to be in good shape. The new carpet was installed with the same amateurish manner as well. There is a new B&M shifter still in the box that can go with the car. The stock shifter knob is missing but I can press the button and shift it anyway without it. The lights do not go up on their own. This car needs some work and is being sold as is. I have the clear title and the car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
