Vehicle Detail
1974 GTO, Ventura Custom, 4SP, Coupe, Bahama Blue with black interior, 350 (Pontiac with .030 over bore, 1969 Firebird engine, have the original #46 heads), NO PS, NO PB, NO AC, 4wheel drums (all new brakes) rebuilt front suspension (new coil springs, bushings brake lines etc) Transmission had bearings and seals replaced, new Hurst 4sp shifter, new clutch, new radiator, rebuilt carb, new floor pans, carpet, some seat wear, new seat belts (after market). New rear frame rail bumper mounts installed, new body mount bushings installed (front sub-frame) new fuel tank with sending unit. Gas gauge works. It has been driven so there are some chips in the paint etc. I would rate the paint job as a B-, looks really good at 10 feet or so but it does have minor flaws. Body is solid. QTRs are all steel, no bondo. Trunk is solid. The interior seats are from a NOVA, wrong pattern for a Pontiac. The dash pad is from a AC car, the car did not come with AC. The turn signals do work but flash faster than expected. Turn signal canceler is not working (have part) horn does not work, AM radio does not work, dome light does not work. Headlights (dim and high beam) work as do the brake and tail lights. Very heavy DOT required for '74 rear bumper may need to be remounted. No big deal it just hangs off level (see picture). Extra parts included, original valve covers (painted) #46 heads, new water pump, 2 new Flowmaster 40 mufflers (current exhaust is fine) and miss other parts. I have tried to list everything, good things and any issues. Its a 36 year old car that has been fun to own. No excuses, its a solid driver ready for someone to enjoy. Drive anywhere a $500 deposit is required with the balance due in CASH when you pick the car up. Per request I have added additional pictures. The interior is a bit dusty, I have moved to the country and live on a gravel road. Not much use for a GTO on a small farm. You are welcome to inspect the car locally just send an email. VIN question: This is a real GTO. Reference "The Restorer's Guide, Original Pontiac GTO 1964-1974, page 123 VIN example and www.74GTO.com, VIN example" Questions: Email or 309-236-0223 after 5Thanks
