Vehicle Detail
If you are a Porsche fan you probably know the reputation of this car in it's Turbo form. It's nothing short of phenomenal, especially from highway cruise speeds downshifting to 4th gear and using the 1 Bar (14.7 psi) of boost to really pull out! I've owned this car since 2002 when it had 48,000 miles on it. It now has 79,200 or so miles on it. This is a rare and attractive Porsche color "Metallic Beige". It has always been garaged and kept out of the blazing summer sun and heat when not being driven. I'm selling it to make room for a late model 3-Series Beemer sedan. The clutch was changed in 2001 at about 45,000 miles. Since I purchased it, the car has been responsibly "adult driven", meaning no clutch burn outs or clutch dumps from a standstill with some un-Godly RPM. First gear launches are done with less than 1,000 RPM. I respect fine machinery and do not abuse any of my machines. Nuff said! Recent Maintenance Includes: New EverStart Battery (77,000 miles in 2008) New Brake Pads (76,000 miles in 2007) New Kumho Ecsta Tires (76,000 miles in 2007) Plugs, Wires, Distributor Cap, Rotor (57,600 miles in 2003) Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs (78,800 in 2010) MSD 6TN Ignition & MSD High Performance Ignition Coil (57,800 miles in 2003) New Factory Struts (54,000 miles in 2003) Amsoil 100% synthetic Gear Oil in Transmission (54,000 miles in 2003) A/C Serviced - Compressor o-rings changed & system serviced with R134 Freon (79,100) I have always used Amsoil 100% synthetic 10W-40 oil in the car and Mahle #OC142 oil filters and changed them yearly (Amsoil has a 25,000 mile or one year service life). The engine might use 8 ounces of oil in 3,000 miles of driving. After a 2003 right rear quarter panel fender bender in Tampa the car was professionally stripped and repainted by a 20 year experienced German auto body man (removing all hardware, bumpers, sunroof and badges) using Porsche Factory Sikkens paint and clear coat. I wanted to be sure that the fender bender repair was a complete color match. The exterior gloss and paint are excellent. The car requires Premium unleaded fuel and gets me about 22mpg in combined town and interstate driving and nearly 28mpg on long interstate highway trips. The original mini deflated spare and the factory inflation pump are in excellent shape and are included with the car as well as the factory vinyl cover for the removable roof. Upgraded Pioneer CD/Head unit with Aux In audio plug, upgraded speakers, Sony amp and subwoofer make for very good cruising tunes. The car was originally sold in NJ and I took delivery of it in 2002 and took it to Florida and now Dallas. Original window sticker, owner's manual, keys and maintenance documents available. Contact me to make arrangements to see the vehicle in the Dallas, TX area mcaban at semco-inc dot com Squawks: Driver side window regulator needs to be changed. Motor runs, but gearing on regulator is apparently sheared in some spots. Window goes up to about 1" of fully closed and rolls down all the way.
