Vehicle Detail
well here we go again, sold car last week to fella about 70 or so years old,he drove up from lima ohio which is little over 2 hours ride, when auction was going i removed radiator as i fealt gauge ran a little hi on the normal range, thinking it just needed hot tank flush i removed and dropped off to get done,i really like this car and would not want any overheating problems for me or anyone who bought car.anyway he showed up and i was underneath car installing trans lines when he walked up,by the way radiator had to be recored as was to clogged to flush, this was a custom core and i paid 300.00 dollars that morning when he won the car.i came up from under car and he said he was going to pass because bumpers needed rechroming, they are not rusted just dinged up so i said oik and just went back down to finish trans lines,he was old and i think he thought a restored 47 year old car that is turn key mechanically, the interior is excellent original cond.except the cut i mention later, and body wise is a southern car never rusted and is just wash it,the paint is wonderfull smooth eurothane enamel job baked a 160 degrees like general motors cars today are painted. and 4100.00 should have 800.00 worth of new front and rear bumpers and go right into a museum. this car is fly in drive home mechically and body is just wash it ,interior is just vacuum it,if you have any experience in antique car restoration you know how much money it takes to get all 3 of these areas to this quality, you could not restore a car to this qualty for what i sold him this car for,and remember this is 44,000 mile car.1963 chrysler newport,44,000 mile time capsule,361 cu.in.v-8 p.s.p.b,pushbutton automatic with dealer install air conditioning, blows ice cold,YES ICE COLD,recharged 2 years ago and still too cold to run very long on hi fan speed, tennessee car so never ever rusted out, rust is not an issue anywhere so i wont waste much time here so dont ask about floors ,or frame ,or trunk area,DONT ASK.mechanically car is turn key, brakes, tires, exhaust, suspension,.this car is a time capsule in that it is in the condition MECHANICALLY of a 63 car in like 1967 GOT THAT RANGER..interior is very good original condition seats, carpet, door panels, headliner in very nice condition, seat has a 2 inch split at top of drivers seat and this came from removing plastic factory seat covers with a razor blade, dash pad is a little warped at passenger side of car, hardly noticeable, seems as if car has no glass in it its that nice, car has had 1 professional repaint and shows very very well,i fabricated the skirts from a set of 61 valiant skirts as i sometimes have too much time on my hands, gives it a 50s look though, and the flying goddess is also my personal touch, seems it looked very elegant.anyway if i have left something out and your still reading you know that you could not find a 44,000 mile ,47 year old car and restore it to this condition for my reserve,i may be able to deliver depending on location for a fee since it would be my last time in this rare lady.any questions you can call me to get answers as i hate the back and forth emails and no responses to my emails after i reply 248-633-4323 steve, may consider partial trade for mechanically sound car that needs body and paint work as it could sit outside, this is the reason im selling this 1 ,lost space due to next project which i have been on and off for 4 years, you only need to see my feedback to know i describe honestly, most of my feedback are sales of orphans ive aquired over the years.since last friday i repaired the split in top of with a piece of similiar vinyl ,the split was at top of seat near the welting not cut anywhere near the cloth, and remember if you have a question you will have to call me ,i will not reply to emails,if your interested you can hear the answer to your question from a real person,if you dont call then i know your not serious, sorry for all this garbage but this is what people in cyberspace frustrate you into becoming. On Jul-01-10 at 21:58:40 PDT, seller added the following information: today 7-1-i removed the wide white wall tires and replaced them with radial white walls as the bias ply tires did not drive very well, like a womans 4 inch hi-heels they look great but they kill her feet,my passion is 60s cadillacs and this car drives, steers as well as any caddy ive owned, and figuring buyer would drive home from michigan i wanted to make sure the car drove as i have described
