Terrific 1979 Suzuki GS850 Shaft Drive w/Rebuilt Engine Item Description Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is this 1979 Suzuki GS850G shaft drive bike with 46,000 miles, it starts and runs great and is mechanically excellent…perfect as a daily driver but exceptional as a touring bike. Bike features: · Engine rebuild in 2007 w/ new rings, intake manifolds and a tuneup…parked shortly thereafter because of a family illness (we have the receipt for the work totaling $815). We were told the reason for the rebuild was that the head gasket was leaking and as long as it was apart they decided to put the rings in · New battery · New fork seals and oil · New front brake pads · Fresh oil change · Carbs have been cleaned & synched · Instrument cluster replaced (speedometer was not working) · Travelcade reproduction cover · Clear WI title Tires are in excellent condition; lights and horn work; fuel gauge works; self canceling turn signals function as they should. The tank has 1 small dent and some chips in the paint and the tail piece has some scratches on the sides. Overall this is a very nice bike, if you are looking for a nice shaft drive touring bike don't let this one get away. The bike will have to be picked up at my home in Appleton, WI. I will ship but the buyer will need to make all of the arrangements and pay for any costs up front. A $250 nonrefundable deposit is to be paid by PayPal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The bike has to be picked up and the balance paid within 7 days of the auction end unless other arrangements are made.
