I am selling a car that I have loved for 18 years. This car has been in my family since 1991. My dad bought it from the Italian restaurant owner in my home town of Glen Ellyn IL. At first I didn't like it, but hey I was only 10. Over time I grew to love it. I learned how to drive on this car. When I got married my dad sold it to me. I have owned it for 5 years now and I feel like I am doing it a disservice by keeping it. I have kept it up well but there are things that could be done to this car to make it soooo much better, and I think there is someone out there with more time and money than me to do it. I will be frank, there are things that need fixing on this car but it still runs like a top and flys. The outside looks great, no rust, paint is looking good. It has been in a garage its entire life. It does have 115,127 miles on it though so it has been driven by loving and enthusiastic owners. The salvage title is from when I hit a deer with the car. I would not let the insurance company take if from me so I had it repaired on my own. The only problem was cosmetic, it actually allowed my to take care of some rust and get some bad paint taken care of. I have added a brand spankin new Alpine Head unit that has an Ipod dock that reads the player and charges it. I just added some Polk speakers in the front. I did not get to the back ones yet that are Alpine. I also put in a dash cover, that might sound horrible but it looks very good. There is some fine touching that I still needed to do but really it amazed me how good it came out. This is are really hard sell for me, but for personal reasons I need to let it go. I will entertain serious offers. I really want someone who will make her the great car that she can be. A car this great deserves a great owner who will care for her like a family member, not just a car. That's what I wanted to do, but just did not have the time or money to do it.
