Up for sale is my favorite vehicle ever. Its been the best thing I have ever bought new. One of the most reliable SUV's I have ever owned. I bought this vehicle new in 1996 wiuth 11 miles on it and have put every cared for mile on it. It has a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine. The best engine I have ever had the pleasure to drive. I have put 297,470 miles on this Jeep and it still has plenty of life in it. I have constantly kept up with all the maintenace and 95% of the miles on it are highway miles. I have bought 4 other vehicles and alas its time to let this one go. The girlfriend said some of my toys have to hit the road. It has things wrong with it, but what do you expect with all those miles. Never been in an accident. You can tell by the bumper I have bumped a tree and a pole or 2 at low speeds. And it has some scratches a few dings, the paint is fair as you can see. Paint chips from all the highway driving. Known problems...slight play in the steering after it was fixed LOL, a few electrical shorts, an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold, needs a tune up. Before I parked it a year ago I put in a new radiator, had the steering worked on and the eelctrical shorts supposedly fixed. The guy I took it to..made the steering looser and did not fix the electrical. I put a new battery in it recently. But it has been sitting for about a year. Started up only to run the fluids and charge the battery. Carpet has some stains, headliner is loose. One tire seems to leak air after sitting for a month or so. It also has a slight musty smell from sitting so long. We cleaned it up last week, and I almost do not want to sell it. The tires are about 75% worn, with Michelin tires ( great tires when new ) You can sink about $500.00 to a $1,000 dollars and have a great vehicle or run it as is. Your choice. Parts alone are more then worth the asking price. The jeep is sitting at a small cabin we own in Pittsboro, NC. I can arrange to meet you there to look at it.
