Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I bought this in 2003 as a pretty nice daily driver. The original lime gold paint was faded, the headliner and front seat upholstery was faded/slightly ripped, the carpet was worn , and there was minimal rust under the old vinyl top and bottoms of quarter panels. History Original owner purchased on January 6th 1968 in Wheaton, Maryland; but lived in Novato, California since at least 1983 (from original owners manual & receipts). I found this for sale at a local Longs Drug parking lot from a guy who bought from the original owner to restore, but needed money so sold to me. He never registered – I am the second registered owner.Codes 65A I 2G 05M 17 6 1 Body = 65A = Hardtop Standard; Paint Color = I = Lime Gold; Interior Trim = 2G = Ivy Gold Vinyl Buckets Date of Production = 05M = December 5th 1967; District that ordered the car = 17 = Washington, D.C Rear Axle Code = 6 = 3.20 to 1 ratio; Transmission Code = 1 = 3 speed manual transmission VIN Identification 8 T 01 T 122906 8= Model Year = 68; T= Assembly Plant = Metuchen NJ 01 = Body Code = Hardtop T = Engine Type = 200 1V; 22906 = production number Cosmetic work that was done Proper Paint jobRemoved Everything - Windshield, Rear Window, Bumpers, Chrome, Fender Extensions, Hood, Trunk Lid, etcRemoved doors and replace hingesSanded, primed, repainted entire car and fender extensions – used top quality primer, base paint, and clear coat. Original carb goes with saleNew alternator, belts , hoses, wires, distributor, ignition, etc You don't need to do anything to drive and enjoy, but should do some things. · Install Port divider to head – the Clifford Performance site specifically said to install the port divider or there will be an exhaust leak. I did not, and there is. · Cowl leak passenger side – yes I should have done this while painting, but missed it. So for now I cover the vents when car is out in the rain. · Drivers side window mechanism should be replaced. I stripped the handle. I have the replacement; it goes with the sale. Passenger side fender has a couple dings from a shelf falling on it in my garage (i have extra paint to fix) · Window seals & felt need replacing – whistling noise at highway speeds. · Inside of drivers and passenger doors should be stripped (not sanded because of texture) and repainted with interior paint · AM radio tuner does not work; 2 buttons in my local area give – a Christian station; and a Conservative station that plays a lot of Rush Limbaugh & Mike Savage · Electrical o Something causes the battery to drain if it sits for greater than a week. So now I disconnect the positive terminal if it is going to sit for a while. o Passenger side Cat Eye turn signal o Brake warning light is on – but nothing is wrong with brakes Asking $7,000.00 or best offer.
