Thank You and Happy Bidding! ___________________________________ 1990 Honda Civic DX 3dr NOTE: PLEASE read the whole listing BEFORE Bidding... very important info is posted regarding ALL Payments, Shipping, & All of the vehicle info... Thank You I'm the "Original Owner" (purchased 2/90) VERY LOW actual mileage of 121,122 = under 6,000 miles per year! (seen in image) on a 1990 Honda Civic DX Hatchback, 1.5 stock motor, No A/C, No Mods, 5 speed transmission. Here's the good news list: last couple/few years, I had installed a NEW Clutch kit, NEW Water pump kit, belt, NEW master cylinder, NEW brakes front & rear (ALL NEW disc pads, rotors, drums, rear wheel cylinders, shoes), NEW Radiator, NEW Front Struts (Monroe) & Rear Shocks (Monroe), tune-up, and more ($1,500+). Also NEW Pioneer CD stereo system $400+ (seen in image) with remote, built-in iPod (USB) cable, Sirius Satellite Radio cable & antenna only (no sat. radio), recently new front Pioneer Speakers $100. Also a Dealership Factory Manual "the Bible" not the one you buy at a Auto Part Stores. Way under 5000 miles the last few years on the car. The Honda has sat for over a year (since 1/4/09) without starting & driving but the past month I've started it, and drove it around the block. Some of the above repairs have aged cause of sitting over 16 months. ***** Bought a BRAND NEW Battery 6/7/10... runs strong... $60+ for an Energizer Battery ***** You may of read for the Honda's & Acura's in the late 80's to early 90's of the defective relay associated with the ignition systems... that caused the car not to start in Warm/Hot weather or right after driving it... well I replace it couple years ago with a upgraded unit. It doesn't have that problem anymore (even though before finding out on the internet what caused this I had replaced/rebuilt distributor, cap, wires, spark plugs, ignitor, also the starter and pretty much everything to do with charging & starting the car I fixed the past 5-8 years+ and over $1000 easy maybe a lot more?. And all that time, labor & money it was only the Relay under the dash, grrr I wasted $$$$... never a recall for it either. So hopefully you'll understand my position on the price but again it will be worth it to you less replacing. Here's what's NEEDED: very minor body work on the right door and lower rear panel (seen in image) the clear coat is fading & peeling all over as seen in image, and a minor rusting around windshield (seen in image) then paint needed. Driver door Stop pops needs to be repaired. As for mechanical problems not much at all just some low ticking/hum in alternator and a small oil leak (looks like back of valve cover gasket only). Mechanically under $300 in repairs needed. Oh the Honda has custom 15 inch wheels but Sears about 6-7 years ago placed over sized tires and they do rub (turns, driveways, bumps, more than 2 in the car, etc.) but not damaging the car just tearing the tires up a little, I'm sure you'll have a better choice of wheels & tires for this future racer or restore? *What will be the responsibility of the Buyer will be all fees for Smog (CA), DMV Registration, Pick-up, Delivering, Shipping, etc. The Honda is on Non-Operational with our CA. DMV for the first time ever this past February 2010, but it's perfectly in operational condition it runs very strong. Just couldn't afford Insurance ($200+ for 6 months), Smog Test ($75), and Registration ($70) for two cars now is the ONLY reason I paid $15 to the DMV for Non-Operational. As for Interior nearly perfect just a worn tear in driver seat only (seen in image) and back luggage area has a few cracks but the hatch shock lifts need replacing, dash cover on dash since 1990 (dash has never been expose to direct sun light). This baby has been good to me for nearly 20 years she needs a new home and restored or modified it's one of the most popular model designs to do modifying. As for accidents it's been in a few very minor never affected the uni-body or ANYTHING mechanical... just bumper, fender replacements (roof, pillars, & rear quarters panels or under carriage never hit)... Overall this Honda Civic will be one of the best condition (straight body) Honda vehicles you'll see in person or eBay... just minor cosmetics (rust around windshield, a few dings), paint, detailing needed and TLC. The most unique thing I had done in 1992 after a very minor rear bumper damage I had both bumpers (paid extra for front $500+) upgraded to 1991 Si bumpers... painted gold to match car. As for theft many years ago ALL my 24kt gold emblems were stolen as well as the 3rd brake light assembly. As for asking price it's due to the actual condition, and specially the low mileage, 1 owner. I realize Kelly Blue Book price may be lower though but again I'm def in no hurry to sell either. The pictures don't justified actual live image. As you can see I've been detail, honest, not hiding anything if I think of issues I may of left out I'm post them or let the interested party know of it. ANOTHER NOTE: Important... I've spent weeks looking for the "pink slip" for the Honda I'm going to look into the DMV what to do when I sell the car w/o one. DMV told me it's a $15 fee or a Bill of Sale will work too. the Honda is parked & located in zip code - 90710 20-30 minutes South of Downtown Los Angeles with today's freeways & traffic... make it 1 hour, lol!
