For Sale - 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Unmolested Survivor! Original 289, 2 bbl, C4 Auto with around 80k miles. Power steering and Brakes, No AC. Solid Southern car with great potential to be one of the nicest around. Interior ; Vinyl seat covers on front seat over leather (not sure of shape of original seat covers), rear seat good, needs carpet (faded and worn) and head liner ( comes with new one - not installed) Dash pad would need replacing. All guages working, - Rally clock works but does not auto-rewind. Small rusted place in riders floor from leaking heater core that has been replaced. Exterior : Mostly original paint Caspian Blue, peeling in places over galvanized panels, small rust hole in rider's front fender and around rear deck lid edge. Trunk and 98 percent floor boards solid and rust free. Chrome is 43 years old. Mechanical : Drum brakes rebuilt front and rear with all parts replaced except Power Vac Booster. Power steering pump and hoses replaced. Distributor, carb, and altenator replaced. Shocks Front, and air shocks Rear are new. Fomoco aluminum 4 bbl intake and Holley carb included but not put on car. New dual exhaust (sounds REALLY good) manifold back with 3" pipe from mufflers back. Note : 17" ICW wheels on 5 to 5 adapters on car, but original 14" steel wheels (no caps) come with car. It drives a little squirelly with these wide wheels and tires on it. I would drive the car to California, but no warranties or guarantees - car is sold as is. Good driver, Great restore project.
