I neglected to explain in the original ad why the car looks so good. The S6 recently underwent its annual treatment at Dunny's Detailing (who does some of the Boston Celtics players Ferrari's). I do this once a year, it takes a few days for Dunny to do it, and at a cost of $1,800. No, this is not your average "grease it up" detail job for $200. This is a full corrective aesthetic reconditioning and maintenance program, similar to what museums and collectors perform on their holdings. Once a year I leave the car with them and they spend the entire first day on a two stage clay bar treatment, the result is a silky smooth surface free of any contaminants and ready to accept the next steps. They then spend the next two days doing a multi step Menzerna polish, then glaze, and finally a hand applied Carnauba SwissVAX Concourse (an ultra premium Swiss wax, over $500 per jar, used by the French National Automobile Museum, Lamborghini for their OEM program, and Spyker for their OEM care program). I've received posts if I will accept $45,000 to end the auction early, and that they've seen a Certified Pre Owned car discounted to $50,000 and I should be less than a dealer. So I've put this list together to explain why this car offers so much more than you'll get from probably any other S6 for sale out there: Why buying an S6 from a Dealer Isn't a Good Idea You don't know the car. The dealer likely doesn't know anything about the car, took it on trade, or bought it at an auction. The previous owner didn't think much of the car and dumped it to a dealer. You probably won't get winter tires, which are a must if you plan on doing ANY driving in the snow. You'll get the HORRIBLE factory Continental Sport Contact tires, which wear like crazy and don't perform well at all. You won't get the Milltek exhaust, a top grade stainless steel handmade masterpiece. The car was probably driven by valets, run through car washes, and generally treated like a Toyota by some non-enthusiast. The car was "reconditioned" by some 18 year old dealer lot buy who blasted on some cheap polish and once the grease washes off, you'll see the endless swirlmarks he made on the car. It has not been maintained, the factory service intervals have all the expensive stuff done AFTER Audicare expires, like sparkplugs and Air and Fuel Filters. I've done all this.
