Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with a 2bl 289 4.7L V8 Automatic transmission. The car is currently being used as a daily driver and is therefore in great shape and runs excellent. The paint color is Fjord Blue and was repainted by the previous owner about 3 years ago. Interior is the white "Pony Interior" option with stitched backing in the seats and specilized gauge cluster and wood grain instrument panels and glove box. The driver seat has some wear and tear, but the others are in perfect condition. It has Gragar SS chrome rims with a full sized spare in the trunk with a new tire on it. I have recently replaced the motor mounts, oil pan, and water pump with OEM replacement parts and switched out the old radiator for a new 2-core aluminum (OEM dimensional) replacement. The actual mileage is unknown due to the odometer only having enough digits for up to 99,999 miles. There are several extra parts (front coil springs, door hinge parts, rubber seals, etc) that I have purchased over the years and have not gotten around to replacing. I would be willing to include those in purchase. More pictures can be sent of the interior, trunk, etc. Please respond with any questions you have. The car is located in Atlanta, GA and I would be willing to help arrange for pick up or possible delivery if its within reasonable proximity. On Jun-18-10 at 03:53:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to ease some possible confusion, the actual mileage is unknown. It has tripped over 100,000 at least once that I know of.On Jun-18-10 at 06:36:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Check out the new pictures I have added of the interior, trunk, and engine!!!! There is no rust on the exterior metal or chromed parts of the car. The only area with signs of rust is the under side floor pans. There is no immediate concern for changing, but like all classic cars long-term attention will need to be taken into consideration. Please feel free to contact me with any more questions and especially if you would like to arrange to see or test drive the Mustang. On Jun-19-10 at 16:17:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, just like all classic car engines it does burn a little oil and used to leak some transmission fluid. I use a lead additive on every fuel fill up to help keep the older engine in good running condition and use high mileage oil on every oil change. The breaker points and coil have been replaced with Pertronix Ignitor II and Flame Thrower products for excellent starts and long term ease of maintenance. I have recently replaced both transmission cooling lines with direct hard connections instead of the rubber hose type it had before. I will add pictures of the parts (coils, door hinges, wiper, etc) that I will include with the sale.
