UP FOR AUCTION THERE IS AN ORIGINAL GT550 1974 WITH ONLY 6,600 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS BIKE WAS FOUND IN NORTHEN WISCONSIN. UNMOLESTED. IT COMES WITH A CLEAR TITLE! Last registration -2001. Has not run since then. I will try to be as acurate as I can with the description. It has some surface rust here and there, but it will clean up good. NO DENTS! Exhaust are solid! The original paint is faded but there are no dents in the tank. The side covers have a GT380 emblems (but this is a GT550) The previous owner told me the original covers were cracked. I installed one of my batteries and the engine turns over very good. Compression is even on all 3 cylinders. (120 +/-10 PSI) NOTE: TODAY I ADDED SOME FRESH GAS AND THE ENGINE STARTED GREAT. THE ENGINE IS IN SUPER GOOD CONDITIONS. NO LEAKS AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO 6,000 RPM. VERY NICE! BUT IT WILL NEED TO BE TUNE UP. SO THIS IS A REAL DEAL AND NICE PROJECT! The clutch has plenty of life and it shift fine. Oil looks very clean! The electric start works fine as well as the kick start. All the lights, turn signals, horn, etc are good. The glass on the gauges are faded. The seat cover needs to be replaced. The tires are in great conditions. No cracks. The brakes are excellent. This bikes needs good TLC.
