For sale is my 1956 Packard Clipper Deluxe. I purchased this vehicle at an auction to benefit the National Packard Museum a few years back with the intent of restoring it. With my work schedule and many, many other activities including four other cars to deal with I just don't have the time to invest. My loss is your gain! This vehicle will need pretty much a complete restoration with the exception of the transmission and interior. The interior does have a couple of minor stains which should be able to be cleaned but is otherwise in exceptionally good condition. The engine is in rough but running condition and I would recommend a reconditioning. I last drove the car home from the Museum show last summer but due to the front right wheel sticking it is not roadworthy at this time. I haven't had the time to pull the wheel to assess the problem but I believe the brakes are hanging up due to the feel of the pedal. The transmission functions perfectly. Now to the problems. This vehicle is in need of a good body person. Like I stated before, the stock 352cid engine runs but should be rebuilt. The right rear tire does not hold air more than a few days and the dipstick is missing. (I'd like to figure that one out!) I don't believe there are any missing pieces of trim inside or out. This is a very complete car. The drivers door glass is cracked but there. The radio is in working condition as are all lights. I have not been under the car but from the photos looks pretty good. Please look closely at all the pictures as I'm trying to be as accurate as I can. The Packard is being sold AS IS. The hubcaps, trim, tail lights and bumpers alone could be sold for my asking price. I'd rather see someone restore the car than have to part it out. I can drive the car far enough to assist in loading for shipment or pickup.
