1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe for Sale Buy This Classic Series 1.5 1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupe 47,xxx original miles, telescoping steering wheel, beautiful wire wheels, and a foldable rear seat Here is a beautiful 1968 Jaguar XKE for sale. We have sold quite a few Jaguar XKE sports cars and they are one of my top 5 car designs ever made. The first car I ever sold under Sunset Classics was an XKE. This is my first 2+2 and I am happy and proud to ad this Series 1.5 2+2 E-type to our roster! This 1968 Jaguar XKE has only 48,375 original miles. The engine is original / number matching. The three speed automatic transmission shifts through the gears responsively. The paint is primrose yellow. This is a series 1.5 meaning it retains many desirable series 1 attributes (including the grill and ornamental chrome turn signals) but it has some mechanical benefits of a Series II XKE (like duel cooling fans for the engine). 1968 is a unique year making it a really special car among enthusiasts. The Jaguar E-type shown here runs and drives very nicely. The 4.2L 6-cylinder engine revs up smoothly and responsively (check out the videos below!). The car has a telescoping steering wheel, beautiful wire wheels, and a foldable rear seat with enough cabin room for four! As you can see from the other cars in the garage, this classic Jaguar E-type is owned and cared for by a true car enthusiast. One look at the engine compartment and you can really appreciate the quality of ownership this specific E-type Jaguar has enjoyed during its 42 year old life. And the low, original miles tells a story of being cherished and driven and enjoyed for only special occasions. Wouldn't this be a fun car to carry you to your next special event? The paint is laid down on the car nicely. There are some imperfections including some stone chips up front (though they have been touched up as you would expect from a caring owner). There are some other hand touch ups around the car and I photographed them and they can be viewed in the close-up photo gallery below. The floors, wheel wells and sheet metal all appear very solid and rust free. The tires are in great shape and the car comes with the correct E-type jack and spare tire. The interior is in very nice, original condition. There is a bit of wear on the rear seat (driver's side) but otherwise the interior is in good shape. The radio plays through the original dash speaker, and all of the dash lights and exterior lights work as they should. To get a better appreciation for the condition of this classic Series 1.5 Jaguar XKE please enjoy the two photo galleries below. And don't forget to watch the videos! Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to reserve this 1968 Jaguar XKE for your collection! -John Snell 612-805-2428 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe Body Gallery 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe Close-Up Gallery \ Click an image below for many more detailed photos of the interior and exterior of this fine 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe Body Gallery 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe Close-Up Gallery See this 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe in action at Sunset Classics More Videos include testdrive, walk-a-round, engine running and More!
