This auction is for a 1998 Ford Taurus SE wagon. It has some minor issues but none that can't be fixed easily by the buyer. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to invest. My loss is your gain. This car needs someone who can take care of it and drive it regularly. It has been my family's car since it was bought brand new and has never been in any accidents or been subject to any structural damage. The A/C is in perfect running condition, but the heater does not blow hot air. Luckily, there is time before that is an "essential" function. It does start and idles perfectly, however, it shifts a bit harshly. It will not stall out, but will "buck" a bit from time to time if given to much gas while accelerating. Also, it seems to have a leaky brake line. Currently, it does not seem to have any brake fluid and the brakes are extremely difficult to use. It takes full force pressure to almost manually stop the vehicle. I flushed all four brake lines and added all new fluids a couple months ago. It rectified the issue momentarily, as after sitting idle it seemingly lost all fluid once again. Lastly, the gas gauge has become insensitive past the half tank mark. It has been in out practice to refill the tank when it reaches half a tank versus empty for strictly precautionary measures. Although this vehicle does have some issues, it is to be expected for a vehicle of this age. To a certain extent, these are all issues that are easy to rectify. However, as said before, I can not afford the time to have it looked at or fix myself. Additionally, the cloth interior and all trim is in excellent condition. The exterior has no major dings, dents, or scratches. All paint is still in great condition with minimal sections of wear or signs of fading. This vehicle has been inspected and is valid until Jan 2012. I think the winner of this auction and the new owner of this vehicle will be very happy once able to attend to its preliminary needs. This Taurus has a lot of life left in it. The vehicle either must be picked up by the buyer, or alternative pick up services may be used at the buyer's expense.
