Vehicle is in fair condition. Engine runs well and transmission shifts smoothly. There are two new tires with less than 1,000 miles on them. With 147,611 miles the car has many years left in it. Every BMW mechanic I've talked to says these engines go for over 200K miles routinely. Wheels are in great condition and a spare is included in the trunk. The front seat leather and most of the back seat leather is in decent shape, showing wear for its age. The power moon roof still works great and is good sized so it circulates the air pretty well on a day when outside air is the preferred A/C choice. The air conditioning does work for those days when it's too hot to drop the windows or use the moon roof. The power windows and locks work well with the exception of the passenger window. Based on a BMW I used to own this could probably be fixed for about $200. If you have the time and are mechanically inclined or have a friend that is the parts can be found online for very little. This is a good dependable car for city driving around town. It has been my daily driver since purchasing it and has not been expensive to maintain. There are a few things that should be noted about the car. Given that it is fair condition (noted above) the following are known imperfections to be aware of: Drives well around town but steering wheel shakes when driven above 55 MPH. This can be fixed for a little if you can work on cars or for a lot if you take it to a BMW dealership but for driving around town it hasn't been a problem. The passenger power seat still goes forward and backward but the tilt only moves part of the seat I think because either a motor is bad or a cable in the back of the seat. It is currently in a slightly reclined position as moving it forward too much will twist the seat. The back seat has stitching coming out of the top (a couple of inches long at the two seams that join up with the narrow middle section). The paint job needs to be re-done to have a nice looking finish; depending on your use of the vehicle this may or may not bother you much. It does have a dent on the front passenger quarter panel and a cut in the metal framing the passenger side rear window. The factory tape deck is missing. Basically, the cosmetic finishes are not great.
