Hi, Welcome to the sale of this beautiful all original VW Jetta Turbo Diesel. As you probably know these cars with the factory turbo diesel engines are getting hard to find, especially rust-free. This car is totally ready to go. It is inspected fully serviced and has almost brand new tires on it. The paint is in excellent condition. I am not that good at telling whether a car has been repainted or not but i don't think that this one ever was, because the door jams, window channels and engine bay as well as under car is all the same color. I have been working on these vw diesels for the past 5 years and I just did a complete service on this car at 210,000 miles. below is listed what I did: Complete timing belt service -timing belt -timing belt tensioner -water pump -upgraded rubber valve cover gasket -adjusted IP timing At the same time I installed all new external engine seals/gaskets. Crank seal (front end), vacuum pump O-ring, cam seal, etc. While I was doing the service I went ahead and installed all new wheel bearings the whole way around the car and new brakes. It has a complete new exhaust system as well. At 212,000 miles the transmission reverse went out (common vw problem). I had a fresh trans here from a 1987 Jetta that only had 89,000 miles on it. I changed fluid in it and installed all new seals and gaskets. While I had the trans off I installed the new crank seal behind the flywheel and all new shifter bushings. I also installed a new sunroof seal at the same time I did the transmission. (If you know anything about these cars you will no how much work and expense that was!!! Over 3 hour project and almost $200.00 for the seal!!!) Everything on the car works except for the air conditioner and radio. The radio works but the speakers were all pulled because they were junk. The air conditioner had worked when I first got the car but it does not get cold now so I don't know what it will need. I never did much with air conditioners so I am selling it as is. The interior is in very good condition for a vehicle of this age and mileage. There are no tears or rips on the seats. The rear door cards are soft on the bottom but still look good.
