This is a wonderful 1919 Dodge Brothers Roadster that was restored several years ago and has only been driven a couple of times since. Occassionally you will see a Dodge Brothers Touring, but you rarely see a Roadster and especially one in this condition. The car was part of a private collection here in Central Ohio and is now available for your summer shows and tours. The engine underwent a major overhaul at restoration as did the transmission. The vacuum canister has also been rebuilt and operates perfectly. The car starts right up quietly with it's electric starter generator, shifts well and drives nicely. The electrical system is 12 volt as original and all the gauges and lights work properly with exception to the speedometer, it is missing the cable. The radiator is the honeycomb style and the car runs cool. The tires are the Universal 33X4 in like new condition with metal stems and covers. The car has it's original wood spoked wheels and they are in excellent solid condition. They were painted blue as they were originally. The aluminum Dodge Brothers hubcaps are also original. The top and interior were beautifully restored and the seat is very plush and comfortable. The windshield in this Roadster was replaced with safety glass and the car has it's original wood steering wheel in beautiful condition. The step plates on the running boards have the Dodge Brothers emblem and these plates are also in like new condition. This 1919 Dodge Brothers Roadster is truely a well built, quality piece of American automotive history. It will make someone a great investment. Available for your inspection prior to bidding.
