1995 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS One Owner Classic in All Original Condition Up for auction is a 1995 Chevy Impala SS. It has been well maintained, has super low miles, and is in overall superb condition. It is my opinion that this is on of the most exceptional looking vehicles GM has ever built and one of the last TRUE muscle cars that General Motors will ever produce. As such, many hours, a lot blood, sweat, and tears have gone into this vehicle to try to preserve the integrity of this truly legendary nameplate keeping the car in immaculate original cosmetic condition. No rims, hoods, gauges, or Lambo doors here; just good ole American Muscle. If you are interested in this vehicle please read the auction in its entirety. A Couple of Points of Interest: I feel that Chevy really hit the nail on the head with this vehicle cosmetically and it was already at its pinnacle. Over the years I have seen that it is particularly trendy to modify this particular car, adding everything from custom hoods and bumpers, to rims and paint. My goal was just to preserve it, and keep it original. If you are looking for the perfect canvas, although I don’t condone modifying this excellent example of an original Impala SS, this is a great car to start with. Similarly, if you are looking for a “WELL PRESERVED” classic… this is it!! Here is a couple of things about this particular Impala SS you many be interested in knowing: First, it’s an all original 95 SS in Dark Cherry Metallic (which is more rare than black), with ONLY 32,000 Original Miles. All the options were checked off on this car with the exception of the aftermarket dealer installed sunroof (Fully Loaded). The vehicle was put into storage a decade ago until it was pulled out last winter. It sat unmoved for 10 years! It was removed from storage in the winter of 2009 after not being used for over a decade. It has not been registered or legally driven, since 1999. It is a ONE OWNER SS… yea good luck finding another one owner Impala! After the revitalization process which mostly consisted of a GM ASE Certified Technician replacing ever fluid in the vehicle, replacing the battery, and doing a full tune up; I drove the car 12 miles. After 10 years, the car still runs, drives, and even smells like a brand new car. If you purchase this vehicle you will be the first person to register, and legally drive this car since it was fairly new in 1999. Below is a summary of the full vehicle condition. Exterior The exterior is in excellent condition. The paint looks fantastic still after 15 years. The vehicle is 100% Carfax Certified, NO Accidents. The body panels are almost perfect with the exception maybe a couple little dings and a couple hairline scratches. Front and rear bumpers are both in outstanding condition. These vehicles have a tendency of rear bumper fade. Not this one! The undercarriage is also in very good condition. After being stored for nearly 10 years, it has a light patina to it. This bothered me so I wire wheeled the entire undercarriage and had it rust inhibited and undercoated. It looks very clean. Overall I would rate the paint and body a 9 out of 10 for a car of this age. Interior The dash is pretty much perfect. There are no cracks, no fading, no nothing. The carpet is always a sore spot with these cars. I have yet to see an Impala without stains on the carpet, well, except mine. Unfortunately the pictures I have do not really give a good indication of the actual condition of the carpet. The flash tends to yellow the carpet out… the carpet is not yellow, or brown, it is entirely grey, and in excellent condition. The driver’s seat is in excellent condition showing minimal wear. There is a tiny spot on the corner of the seat about the size of a dime that is worn, otherwise the seat is nearly perfect. The passenger seat is in excellent condition. The leather is still extremely tight, no cracks, also soft and supple. The rear seats are unused… just like the day they left the factory… thanks to the lack of kids. Car still has a hint of leather smell to it. Seats are borderline ridiculous when it comes to comfort and luxury! It’s like sitting on the couch at home, only with some support, and the couch is moving. Engine & Transmission The engine on this vehicle is a 5.7L LT1 V8. If you are looking to purchase this vehicle, you probably already know how bullet proof it is already so I will leave out all the specifications. This is a low mile vehicle so the engine is obviously in excellent condition. The engine has been run on Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Motor Oil since day one. When it was flushed, it was flushed with Mobil 1 and then changed once more to, you guessed it… Mobil 1. I use Wix Filters, the best ones on the planet. Transmission fluid was flushed and replaced. It is clean, and the trans shifts super smoothly… what you would expect of a car with only 30K. The coolant was also changed along with the power steering fluid, and rear differential fluid. This was done in February. Brakes and Tires The brakes are brand new all the way around… new rotors, new pads, a couple new rubber lines, and brake fluid service was preformed. The tires are original to 1999 but have close to 90% Tread Left. Options/Additions This 95 SS is fully optioned… lighted vanity mirrors, CD player with equalized Stereo, and Day night mirror, and air conditioning, which blows ice cold might I add. It does NOT have the dealer installed sunroof, but it does have dealer installed window tints which unfortunately have a slight purple tint since they are 15 years old. When I decided I was going to invest in getting this SS back on the road the one modification I couldn’t live any longer without was an exhaust system. It has a custom bent 2.5in Magnaflow Exhaust from start to finish… this includes Full Length Headers, X-pipes, Magnaflow Mufflers, and Tips… and it sounds OUTSTANDING! Well worth the extra $$. Although the car has always been stored inside it comes with a brand new waterproof Car Cover as well. I am selling the vehicle is because I have one too many toys, and my wife thought she needed a Convertible Toyota Solara… you get the drift. I am not looking to give the car away, however I have set an extremely reasonable reserve for this vehicle… under $10K. This is an absolute sale! Please understand that although this car is in outstanding condition, it is still a 15 year old Chevy and is not showroom new. There are a couple dings, as well as a couple of scratches. Although the body is 100% rust free, a couple of tiny spots have formed in the engine compartment… this is not an uncommon of any 15 year old car; and I challenge you to find a nicer example of an SS. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and the balance is due within 7 business days of the auction ending, no matter what e-bay states.
