1970 Ford Mustang Convertible!!! VIN# 0F03F144xxx 1970 FORD MUSTANG 302 CONVERTIBLE COMPLETE, NUMBERS MATCHING, MUSTANG PROJECT Up for auction is a very complete 1970 Mustang 2 BBL V-8 Convertible that was running when purchased. This is another one from our personal collection. You don’t see many of these convertibles! All of the muscle car looks of the 69/70 Mustangs with a convertible top! You could also add a few aftermarket parts and convert this car to a Shelby convertible clone, one of the most expensive Mustangs every produced. Currently, this car is pretty much as it left the factory. It has its 302 engine backed by a C4 automatic transmission. This nicely optioned convertible still has the A/C is still installed. Power steering and power disk brakes are still there. BODY: This convertible is not sagging like some convertibles we've seen, so the body alignment has not been lost. This car will need the usual convertible parts like the inner rocker panels, torque boxes, floors, and some quarter work, but the frame rails look very good. This car has a good exterior body shell, most all the panels are straight but will need some work. This car will need a paint job, but overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration because it is so complete. The convertible top will need to be replaced. INTERIOR: The interior of this car is ready for daily driving. If you were going to make this car show quality it should probably be refinished. All the wiring is in the car and seems to be in good condition. Seats are the original front buckets, which are in good condition. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay is in great condition, and ready for cleaning and paint. The 2bbl 302 ci. V-8 engine is the original numbers-matching engine and comes with the original C-4 Cruise-o-matic Transmission. Both engine and transmission were running when the car was purchased. BRAKE SYSTEM: The Mustang has front disk brakes and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. GLASS: The convertible has good door glass and side window glass. The car has no cracks in the windshield but the rear glass will need to be replaced when you the convertible top is changed. MISC. This Mustang was built on December 16, 1969. This car is very complete. However, a proper restoration involves lots of new parts, chrome, etc. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need Complete convertible that are not fully rusted away are very hard to find. If you were starting from scratch, it would cost over $15000 to find all the original parts, engine, transmission, etc. I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL THOSE WHO BID TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT.
