This wonderful original 1915 Ford Model T Touring car has been part of a private collection here in Central Ohio for almost 35 years. The previous owner and his son had two of these and used them occassionally for parades. All the metal and wood portions of the body are in exceptional condition for the age and appear to be original with exception to the splash shields which may have been replaced at some point. The car was probably repainted back in the 70's or 80's and though the paint is older with some flaws, it is still very shiney and presentable. The car was just professionally detailed. The interior and top were restored as original and they are in beautiful condition. The floor mats are the original style Ford script mats and there is an original set of accessory pedal pads in very nice original condition. This Model T also has an original wood steering wheel, along with it's original Stewart Warner Speedometer, (no cable). Mechanically the car runs like a top, both on battery and magneto. It has great compression and I don't think there has been very many miles put on this engine since it was rebuilt. The transmission looks like new inside and the bands appear to be new also. I changed the oil in the car and checked it after I drained it. There was absolutely no sediment in the oil and it was clean. The spark plugs are new, plug wires are new, fan belt and hoses are new, new battery, and the coils were just gapped and adjusted. The carburetor is a Holley NH and it was just rebuilt. There is also a brass gas shut off at the carburetor so you don't have to climb under the car to shut off the gas. The gas tank was cleaned and is great original condition. This Touring also has an early fan with brass pulley and hub, along with an accessory water pump that was just checked and greased. The front spindle bushings had minimal play but I replaced them with a newly bushed set and the wheel bearings were just greased. The front end and steering on the car are tight and there is no play. The radiator is one of the nicest original radiators I've seen and it has the accessory dog bone Boyce Motor meter. All the brass on the car was just polished. The wheels are the later style demountable with a like new set of 30 X 3 1/2 Universal tires and metal stemmed tubes. The stems have the brass covers on them.
