1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon No reserve! Up for auction is a really nice diesel wagon. They only made the W124 diesel wagon one year in the U.S., 1987, and they did not make very many of them. This car was owned by an auto enthusiast who took excellent care of this wagon. It drives wonderfully. The suspension is very tight with no clucks or play. The rims are upgraded from a later model Mercedes and have nearly brand new tires on them. The engine starts right up and does not smoke excessively or make any unusual noises (I am very familiar with the OM603 engine in this car, I put over 100,000 miles on one!). There is no blow-by or fluid leakage. The A/C was converted to R134 and blows ice cold. All windows except the passenger rear work. The sunroof opens and tilts. The radio has been upgraded and works great. The exterior is in good condition. The car was repainted at some point in it's life but still looks good. There is some rust on the driver side lower wheel arch as you can see in the pictures. I don't want to sugar-coat anything as this is a 23 year old car with 271,000 miles, But I feel the new owner will not be disappointed in this car, it really runs wonderfully.
