This beautiful car has been brought back to life. As a project, I bought it a little over 2 years ago--but, we're moving up North and no longer have the extra room! Everything but the cruise control is now working on her. I did a complete upper-engine rebuild recently and it has never run better. The engine is in excellent condition--doesn't leak oil or smoke out the tailpipe. The upper-engine rebuild consisted of removing the engine head (along with everything else on top and around it), machining the valve seats, new valve stems, valve seals, injector seats, rebuilt injectors, reground/coated camshaft, new chain guide, and new seals all around. You won't find another opportunity to own something like this...the classic look of the 240D without the hassle of fixing it up. A new paint job came with the car when I bought it and it is holding up nicely. I recently replaced the exhaust system from the headers on back to original manufacturer's specs. Various relays and electrical fuses that needed replacing were recently replaced. New taillight assemblies and bulbs all around bring a clean look to the car day and night. I replaced the shocks about a year ago which greatly improved the car's ride. All the manual window/door locks function properly and so do the interior amenities. The A/C works like a champ and cools down the cabin in nothin flat. The heater valve system was replaced about 1 month ago, so you can be rest-assured that it won't leak any fluid and will function when you need it. Like I say, everything but the cruise control works beautifully in this car and it'll be difficult to find one like it for sale. **Non-Smoker Cabin** Current Odometer Reading: 153,161--she's only a kid!
