This is an extremely nice and very rare retired police car. It was purchased at auction in 1991 and placed into inside storage where it remained for the past 19 years. At the time of retirement it had 69,387 miles and now has 70,692. It has a set of original Goodyear Police tires that were put on it prior to retirement . They appear to have about 5000 miles of use. The LTD is DSO 74 which is confirmed by the door tag and its original deployment shown by Autocheck in Washington State. This car was not used as a marked unit, it was a command car or detective car. I do not know which agency the car actually belonged to. It has no body plugs but does have several holes on the lower side of the dash and on the console for equipment. It has a single key for the doors, ignition trunk and glovebox. I have the build sheet which is intact and was found behind the rear seat. It does verify it is a DSO Police car ordered with Silicone hose and Aircraft Clamps. This LTD has the Certified Calibration 140 MPH speedometer. The paint on the LTD is all original, there is no indication it has ever been damaged. The LTD has nicks and chips in the paint, it was actually used as an in service Police car for 69,000 miles. This is a true time capsule and maybe a one of a kind find. This LTD runs like new. It has not been driven since it was stored except onto and off of a car trailer. It has not been on the road and should not be with these tires, as I said they are 19 years old. These tires are perfect for show display with the car, but it should not be driven on them. I expect this car to drive like a new car but as I said, we have not driven it. The LTD is missing one of its dog dish hubcaps, we are working on finding replacements. The interior is in beautiful condition. It has one spot on the rear seat the size of a quarter that has been repaired. This LTD has roll up windows, Air conditioning, tilt wheel and an AM radio.
