This 1976 914 Porsche is being sold for Parts or Repair. It is not running and is being sold As Is. The exterior body panels are in reasonably good shape. They are not rusted out or dinged up too much but have the normal wear of a well used 1976 car. There are a couple bondo patches on the rear fenders that were never completed. The engine is an unknown. Me and my friend tried to get it started but it seems to have some electrical problems, we never got it to actually turn over. It looks like someone replaced the starter and solenoid and may not have wired it correctly. It also looks like they replaced the cap and rotor, the plugs and put new oil in it. The interior is battered but most everything is there. Under the carpets is not pretty. The floor boards are rusted with holes in them. Someone cut a long hole in the center tunnel very crudely, for what reason I don't know. The dashboard has cracks and wear. The trunk of the car does not shut correctly, there is something wrong with the hindges. In the engine compartment, everything looks to be there. The carburator is intact and things have not been taken apart. The car has a Monza exhaust system which looks older. The tires are shot . On the plus side, the doors open and close nicely, the windows roll up and down and all the glass is in good shape. The targa top is in good usable shape with minor wear. It locks on securely. The door tag says that the car was made in 75 although it is titled as a 76. We really wanted to get this car running but didn't. So, now we just want to get it out of the yard.
