Vehicle Detail
door sills 1972 Buick GSX Convertible clone This stunning Buick is the car that you've been saving up for! It is triple black with gold GSX stripes highlighted by the red stripes that accent the gold stripes. What an awesome combination! When you drive down the street every head is sure to turn. This car has a genuine GM ram-air hood, with the infamous ram-air cleaner for that forced air induction that enhances the engines horsepower. The dual snorkels have new foam seals. It has the GSX front and rear spoilers for that true muscle car excitement. This body is virtually laser straight as you can see from the pictures. This car was very solid, and the car was recently painted over the original paint with very nominal body work. This car has matching Buick sport mirrors, and all the chrome around this car is in very nice condition. 1972 was the only year where the bumpers had rubber to protect the chrome from impact. New reproduction rubber from The Parts Place is included for the front bumper, and the rear bumper has original rubber that is still in very presentable condition. The windshield had a chip in it, so it was freshly replaced with a new one. The wipers have polished stainless steel arms with new blades. All the windows roll up and down without issue. There is a brand new black convertible top, with new pads inside, and a new back glass rear window. The top has one small blemish approx. two inches by a half inch that occurred prior to installation, but was repaired, and barely noticeable. The top goes down with ease manually, and all the power components are there. I ran out of time to figure out the reason the top does not go down by power. This car has the Buick sport steering wheel, bucket seats, and a console, with all the original seat belts. There are no cracks in the dashboard, and the entire interior shows very well with only some minor flaws. The dash was never cut, and still has an original AM Sonomatic radio in place, but is not hooked up. All the headlights, bright lights, license plate light, and cornering lights work as they should. The speedometer, odometer, and gas gauges all work properly. This car has factory air conditioning that is not hooked up, although the compressor spins freely, so it should still be good. Brand new door sills were added when the new carpeting was installed with the base padding, so when you're cruising with the top down you don't hear the rattles that most convertibles have. These original floors and the trunk floor are very solid unlike most of these cars that survived the Midwest from that era. This is apparently the original mileage, so I'm certain that this car spent the majority of its life in a garage. The engine compartment was detailed with all the factory decals to enhance the look of this fine muscle car. The spark plugs, points, rotor, distributor cap, and wires were all replaced. The master cylinder was just replaced, and there is a brand new battery. The oil was changed, and the engine starts right up, and sounds awesome with brand new dual exhaust running from the front all the way back to the exhaust tips. The wheels are factory Buick chrome sport wheels with a nice matching set of raised white lettered P225/70R14 Widetrack Radial S/R tires. The trunk was nicely detailed with the original jack, and carries a full size sport wheel spare, so in case of a flat tire, you would still look stellar after a quick tire change. I try to list everything I can think of when I write a description, but if there is anything that you may like to know, I will gladly answer all questions as soon as possible. Please ask any questions you like prior to the end of the auction. No point in asking questions after the auction is over. I pride myself in answering every question with the utmost honesty. I want every potential owner to be completely satisfied with their purchase. A great deal of money, time, and effort went into making this the sweet car that you see listed. I know that they never made a GSX convertible, but if they did, this color combination would be the top seller in my eyes. This car will make an awesome investment that will continue to rise as times have shown. You can think of your purchase as a separate bank account that you can actually use while your investment climbs in value. I'm not going to say that this GSX droptop is a Barrett-Jackson quality museum piece, but it does possess the potential to be one. I'm sure if it were to run through the auction line it would do well. This is certainly a stunning looking automobile. If you don't enjoy being the center of attention, then this car is not for you. You must be an outgoing person to own a car like this, because everywhere you stop people are going to want to talk about your car. I hate to see this car go, but I'm in a financial situation that needs to be taken care of immediately, so I'll have to live with the memory, and let someone else enjoy this sweet muscle car. I have the open clean and clear title in my possession. I'm running this auction with no reserve, so this is your chance to pick up a sweet ride at a sweet price! Please only bid what you can afford! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
