Up for auction is my vintage 1989 Dodge Omni! It has less than 48,900 miles on it. I am the third owner and have taken meticulous care of it considering the condition I received it in was absolutely exceptional. The previous owner was an elderly woman who had hardly driven it and kept a detailed record of all service checks/ oil changes up until the early 90's. I'm not sure how long the vehicle had sat in a garage unused until I had purchased it, but it was apparently driven on occasion so as to keep all parts in proper operation. However, over time some the door's weather-stripping has become brittle and dry-rotted(as depicted in photos) along with a couple of tires which were replaced. I was told by the person I purchased the car from that it looks like it had been repainted, but I am not definite on this. However, I am positive that this car has never been in any accident and is all original. Overall the car is in amazingly pristine condition inside and out with only a few minor cosmetic issues. First, being the dry-rot weather-stripping, which although makes for an annoying air leak sound from windows while driving, does not cause any leakage from rain water. Next, the clothe headliner is beginning to sag which is typical. The front grill has a minor chip and there is a small knick in the paint near the front left fender/hood seam. All issues are shown in photos. Besides these details the paint shines like new, and all rubber/plastic on exterior panels/bumpers are in like new condition. As far as the interior goes, as soon as I had purchased the car I immediately put seat covers on and got floor mats to preserve its condition. The radio is original and works as does all other interior/mechanical features. Also I had made sure as to change my oil on time, and keep fluids consistently level. On winter mornings care was taken in warming the car up before usage. Understanding the rarity of this vehicle and condition it was in, I had to do my best to maintain it for my own pleasure and for the next owner. If you are looking for a near mint, low mileage, all original Dodge/Chrysler Omni this is one of the last fine examples of its kind. You will get head turns and thumbs up frequently this is for sure.
