I am the original owner of this 2008 Acura TL Type-S. This rare vehicle is equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission; my understanding is that fewer than 5% of these cars were so equipped. When I bought this car new in June 2008, there was not another like it in dealer stock in a 5-state radius. This car still retains the balance of its 4-year/50,000 mile limited vehicle warranty and 6-year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty from Acura. The Type-S came standard with a host of great luxury features such as DVD navigation with voice recognition, back-up camera, Bluetooth, dual-zone climate controls, unique 17-inch alloy wheels, Homelink, XM radio capability, and Acura Communication System with real-time traffic info, plus lots more. The Type-S model also includes great performance features such as a 286 hp 3.5-liter V-6, Acura/Brembo-design brakes, Michelin Pilot tires, and a limited slip front differential. The beautiful Kinetic Blue Pearl color is also exclusive to the Type-S. The original MSRP was $38,940. I am a very meticulous owner. This car has always been garaged and is in excellent overall condition, with no mechanical defects. Everything works and functions like new. All maintenance is fully up-to-date, and I have records for everything - oil changes, air filters, and even small items such as wiper blades. The navigation DVD has been updated with the 2010 version. I also have a set of Acura all-weather slush mats (not pictured) that will come with the car. In the interest of full disclosure, the car was bumped in a mall parking lot last fall by a hit-and-run driver. This resulted in the rear bumper and fender being repainted (not replaced). This work was done by the best body shop in town (they are the local authorized BMW repair facility), and they do excellent work. The damage was so minor that I did not even turn it in to my insurance company. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN A CRASH. The car is always kept clean - it was not detailed for the pictures. I am a non-smoker. There is no Armor All, carpet shampooing, etc. This is how it always looks. Did I mention I was meticulous?? There are some stone chips on the front bumper consistent with 45,000 miles of use, as well as a small door ding or two that will not show up in photographs. I have included over 50 detailed pictures below so you can get a good idea of the car's condition. If you need more pictures of any specific aspect of the car, let me know. I have nothing to hide with this vehicle. There are no leins against the title. It is a clear title and in my name. I am not a dealer, just a car enthusiast. This is a great car, but I have too many vehicles and something has to go! The reserve is set on this vehicle at a very reasonable amount, closer to the current NADA wholesale than retail. This will be a great buy for someone. If needed, you can fly in to the Columbus, Ohio airport, and I will be happy to pick you up so you can drive the car home. This TL is great for road trips. :) THE LEGAL STUFF: If you win the auction, I will require a $500 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of auction's end. The balance is to be paid by cash or cashier's check ONLY - no exceptions. I will release the title and the vehicle to you once the money is in hand. I can hold the car for a couple weeks for you to pick up. I am not a dealer, so I cannot offer you a separate warranty or financing - please make sure you have your finances in order and that you have permission from your wife, husband, parents, and/or parole officer before placing your bids.
