here's my daily driver up for sale. incredibly economical transportation, 43 to 51 mpg depending on driving conditions. this car is NOT perfect and will require some work in the near future. it pops out of second gear almost all the time, but the rest of the gears work fine. i just skip second gear and go right to third. 3 cylinder engine runs like a top, burns zero oil. i've changed oil every 3500. in the last year i have done: complete ignition tune up, both lower ball joint/ control arms, headlights, left caliper, 4 brand new tires with only a couple hundred miles on them now ($300) and misc minor things. there is a little rust here and there, mostly at rear wheel wells and passenger rocker panel, but nothing major. the underside of the unibody looks incredibly good- virtually rust-free. exhaust will need attention as it just came apart right in the middle. could be patched together to get by for a while, but the rest of it from there back looks rough. everything else functions as it should. overall, with a little investment this baby will return your investment again and again. i would fix it up and keep driving it myself, but i need to buy a new pickup- so bye-bye Metro.
