This auction is for an original 1978 Volkswagen Karman Edition Convertible with 54,230 miles. This Super Beetle is owned by my sister and I am listing as she does not have an account. Before I describe the car I will give you a little history of the owners. My sister is the second owner, and has owned this since September of 1996. She purchased this from a local Judge the car had a little over 50,000 miles and has had less than 4,000 since she purchased it. My sister purchased this car for a granddaughter that was two at the time. In March my niece recieved her drivers license the car was offered to her and she turned it down for a 1997 Escort (go figure). My sister has taken it out of storage and wants to sell to an interested party that will enjoy this car. The car is a 1978 fuel injected Super Beetle with 54,203 original miles All parts original other than running boards Anconda blue, was repainted original color in 1996. Dash board has no cracks New white convertable top, liner and two front seats original back seat also in 1996 Garage kept, excellent engine no leaks, new tires, original rims Now the problems Gas guage not accurate, paint peeling under gas lid, bottom of drivers door paint peeling and surface rust, needs running boards, no spare tire, and the front bumper has funny look may need polished or replaced to be show quality. I have looked the car over these are the faults I have found, her mechanic says the mechanicals are very good. Successful buyer to pick up vehicle in Springfield, Illinois.
