NO RESERVE ! NO RESERVE ! NO RESERVE...Up for sale is my wifes 1998 chrysler town and country lxi 3.8....It has almost 168000 miles on it. The bottom end was rebuilt by the dealer in 2004 at about 100 k miles. The transmission was rebuilt completely ($1800.00) about 1 year ago.New coil box, water pump, radiator, front tires all done recently . Its an all wheel drive very rare and GREAT in the snow .If you live in the northeast , the last winter was the worst ever ,over 50" of snow in 3 storms.It NEVER got stuck ,not once ! It would start and run anytime you needed it ! This can be a great family van with a little work . Problems :::: starter is going or a wire is loose it wont crank intermittantly but always starts.Engine makes tapping noises, it seems to run fine but makes alot of noise ( in the future may need to rebuild the engine) but has been running with noise for the last 20k + miles ,it might run another 100k with the noise or might not run next week your guess is as good as mine ! It has banged up front and rear bumpers (just easy hits but enough to damage bumpers and paint , I dont see any underside damage There are dings and a crease on the driver rear quarter door and fender,there are more little ones , there is a little rust on the lip of the driver rear wheel opening.It was painted by Maaco about 8 years ago and has held up nicely,it was dark green and the inside jams are still green.Rear tires are about 30% left fronts are 90% left.ABS lite is on but brakes seem to function ok it has been on for over 30k miles,power steering leaks and makes some noise,there are other leaks also but nothing serious,there are exhaust leaks also.The trans alone is worth $800.00 if you want to just part it out there is about $2000.00 in parts alone.I would just fix the starter problem and run it till it dies and then decide to either fix or part out !
